Are you getting Error 2037? If so, many people have been getting that error since December 9th. It appears that the iTunes Store is having problems.

Need to delete an itunes account

Whether you want to stop yourself or your child from constantly downloading songs, television shows, movies or audiobooks through an iTunes account, you may want to disable it to prevent future downloads.

Consider these methods to cancel an iTunes account or hinder its future use.
Contact Apple customer service by sending an email through the Contact Us link at the bottom of the Apple.com iTunes support page.

Let them know you want to cancel an iTunes account and they'll contact you for further information.

However, note that if you choose this option, it may also hinder your ability to access the purchases you've previously made, particularly on computers that weren't authorized before you cancelled the account.

Try to cancel an iTunes account by eliminating the ability to access it on your computer. Log into iTunes and pull down the Store menu.

Click Deauthorize Computer and enter your iTunes account password to disable the use of iTunes on your computer.

Disable the credit card option without having to cancel an iTunes account if you just want to temporarily stop charging purchases or prevent someone with access to your computer and password to download songs or videos.

Just access the Account Information page, click Edit Credit Card and choose "None" and "Done" to remove your card number.

Consider simply changing your password frequently if you'd rather not cancel an iTunes account completely, but want to lock someone else out from making purchases on your credit card.

Since you'll be creating new passwords often, however, be sure to write it down (somewhere where only you will see it) so you won't forget.

Can't log in to iTunes account. Company cancelled my email address and I changed computers.

Change the Default Email on an iTunes Account
If you want to purchase and download items from the iTunes Store, iTunes requires that you create an account.
It uses the email given during registration as your default Apple ID for logging into iTunes services and for sending receipts for purchases.
If your primary email address changes, you can edit your account information to use a new default email address.

Launch iTunes, and then select "Sign In" from the "Store" toolbar menu.
Type your current account credentials and click "Sign In."
Select "View My Account" from the "Store" menu, type your account credentials again and then click "View Account."
Click the "Edit" button beside your Apple ID on the "Account Information" page.

Type the new email you want to use beside "Email," and then click "Done" to change the default email address associated with your iTunes account.

Access an iTunes Account From Another Computer
Your iTunes account allows you to purchase music, videos, and other types of media directly from the iTunes Store, and can be accessed from a number of devices, including your iPhone.
In order to access your iTunes account from another computer, you must enter your account information into the Sign In page of the iTunes program.
Once signed in, you can authorize the computer to play media purchased from the iTunes Store and set up other iTunes-exclusive features, including Home Sharing.

Click "Start" on your Windows PC's taskbar, then click "Programs," "Apple," and "iTunes" to run the program.
For Macintosh computers, open the Applications folder in "Finder" and double-click the "iTunes" icon.
Click the "iTunes Store" tab, then click the "Sign In" button on the right side of the program window.

Type in your registered Apple I.D. email address and password, and click the "Sign In" button.
Click the tab in the upper-right corner of the iTunes Store window with your email address on it, and type in your account password.
Click the "View Account" button to access your iTunes account.
Click the tabs on the right side of the window to access different areas of the account.
Click the "Done" tab to save and exit out of your account settings.

Change My iTunes Account Settings

It's compatible with both the Windows and Mac operating systems and it can sync its files with the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
Your account settings are used to manage your iTunes account and store your email address, payment information and password.
If you wish to change your settings, you can do so in a few clicks.
Launch the iTunes application on the desktop.
Sign in with your iTunes user name and password.
Click the "Store" link at the top of the screen.
Click "View My Account" type in your password, then click "View My Account" once more.
Click "Edit."

How do i get itunes without a credit card

Using a credit or debit card is the simplest way to create an iTunes Store account. However, not everyone has one of these cards. For this reason, Apple offers two alternatives to creating your iTunes Store account without a credit card. You can set up your iTunes account and begin purchasing and downloading your favorite music in only a few minutes.
1. Purchase an iTunes Gift Card. Most major retailers sell iTunes Gift Cards, but you can also order them online. The prepaid amount of the gift card is transferred to your iTunes Store account, which lets you access the funds to purchase music.

If you don't want to purchase an iTunes Gift Card, you can set up a free PayPal account instead. ITunes accepts PayPal as an alternative to credit cards and gift cards. Because you do not have a credit card, you will need a checking or savings account to set up a PayPal account (see Resources).

2. Open iTunes. Click "Store" on the top navigation bar. Select "Create Account." Click "Continue" at the welcome screen.

3. Read over the terms and conditions, then click "Continue" again. Enter your email address. This will be your Apple ID, used to log in to your iTunes Store account.

4. Enter a six-digit password, then enter it again for verification. Create a security question and answer. This is used to help recover your password in case you forget it. Click "Continue" to move on.

5. Scratch off the gray film on the back of your iTunes Gift card. Type the number in the iTunes Gift Cards "Code" box.

If you're using a PayPal account instead of an iTunes Gift card, check the box next to "PayPal" and click "Continue." A web browser window will open. Enter your PayPal account's user name and password and click "Log In." Then click "I Agree." This links your PayPal account with your iTunes store account. Click "Continue to iTunes Store."

6. Enter your full name, address and telephone number. Click "Continue." Your iTunes Store account is now created. You can begin shopping for your favorite music, movies or TV shows.

I hope you find it very helpful.
Thank you for choosing fixya.

I forgot my itunes username but i know the password. what can i do

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1920

"
If you have forgotten your iTunes Store account name, you can recover it if you have made iTunes Store purchases by following these instructions:
Note: In most cases, your iTunes Store account name will be your email address. You may want to try signing in using your email address as your iTunes Store account name.
  1. Open iTunes
  2. Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
  3. Choose File > Get Info.
  4. Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name."

I canceled an iTunes account that was used to purchase many songs. I canceled it because my kids were running up purchases. Now I can't sync the songs to an iPod or play them on iTunes that were...

Ideas? Try to re set up that account. It is one of 2 options. Second is open another account but you lose all of the credits. Use a password no one can have access too and don't give it up. Kids are cool and we love them but....they need to learn self control.

Itunes says I have too many computers ( 5) \

Hi,

To deauthorize all computers associated with your account
1. Click iTunes Store in the Source pane.
2. If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
3. Click the Account button again (your ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.

To authorize a computer to play purchases using your Apple Account
1. Select a song, video, or audiobook you've purchased (in your library or the Purchased playlist).
2. Click the Play button.

If the computer is already authorized, the item plays. If the computer has not yet been authorized, iTunes asks you to enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the song.

Please let us know if that was helpful enough.
Good Luck & Thanks,
Shiv.

Purchased songs no longer appear in the purchased playlist, but they are in the regular music one

Yes, iTunes some times forgets that you have bought the songs you have.  If you go into 'Account Information' in the iTunes store by clicking where it shows your email address on the top right button; you should be able to access you actual 'Purchase History' This will display all the songs you have ever bought on that account together with their order numbers.
Incidentally I have found that the 'Purchased' playlist can often sort itself out after you make another purchase. I guess it just needs to sync up with the store computer to jog its memory!
