Have you found the driver for this yet?? I am having the SAME issue.. no matter what I do i can not use the web cam mode (on windows 7)... It keeps asking for the driver!! HELP!!

Download and install the drivers from the Sony site, see link below. You the drivers made for Vista, they should work for Windows 7.

Sony have a page offering information and support, including downloads (Picture Motion Browser) for this camera at THIS LINK

This type of camera transfers video to computer with a Firewire (Sony call this i.Link) connection. Some mini-DV and D8 cameras have a USB connection which is used for stills ONLY. There is a tutorial for downloading videos to computer linked from the above site.

just click on that link

and its already on teh link for drivers/software

and u just put in the model number

and it gives you the correct driver download

and it should fix ur problem, otherwise it could be ur camera or ur usb

go to sonys website , they have a very good database for all their legacy products , you find all the info in the support section , there will be a little navigation to do.

According to Sony the drivers are already built in to Windows XP and Vista if you are running those operating systems. For all others, here is a link to them:
