Recommend updating the driver. Opening and closing the lid may temporarily alleviate the problem. Alternatively, contact a Cannon/OCE service representative who has access to the codes. The user manual does not address these specific codes.

Oce (Canon) makes 3 different types of "500" plan printers. The ColorWave 500, the PlotWave 500 and the old TCS 500. If you mention the proper model number you might get a faster answer. If you have the TCS500 this is a head calibration error. Was a printhead recently replaced? If so it is more that likely that either the plastic seal was not completely removed from the new printhead, or there may be some ink on the contacts on the inside of the printhead socket. Reinsert the printhead in question, and see if this solves the error. Power down the printer and unplug it from the wall. Clean the inside of the printhead socket with a long swab and some isopropyl alcohol. Plug in and power on the printer after replacing all printheads. On extremely rare occasions brand new printhead do fail, so if you have determined you might have a faulty printhead, replace it with another.
