If you really wanted to reset the bios, you have to disassemble your laptop and look for the battery. It is a small circle usually clip with a small metal and soldered. Cmos battery located on the rear of your motherboard. Get the battery using soldering iron or gun, put it back again the battery after 10 seconds. These process will erase all the save information from your cmos or bios. Assemble again and test your laptop. Have a good day!

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link: http://www.fixya.com/support/r7229632-reset_or_remove_bios_password

In case of your HP laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

SOURCE: how do i reset the password on my hp 6450b probook laptop

Try this:

1. Enter a computer that can link to Internet. Download a windows password recovery tool (I recommend Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 ) and install it on that computer. Note that: there is a ISO image file. Burn the file into a CD or a USB flash drive.
2. Eject the created CD/USB and insert it into the locked computer.
3. Reboot the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your computer's Setup to make it boot from CD drive or USB drive) and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old password was removed.
4. Now login Windows and set a new password.

Battery for HP ProBook 6450b?

OMG DON'T TOUCH CHINESE BATTERIES!! Generally they just recycle old ones and stuff them into new cases! I've learned this from 2 costly experiences where 'new' chinese batteries have lasted about 2 months before dying. If you want cheap, reliable ones hunt around on ebay for ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER (HP Label) , SECOND HAND ones with guaranteed minimum life of say 1.5 hours.
Good Luck.

Battery for HP ProBook 6450b?

Inexpensive batteries are inexpensive for a reason. At best they will not work properly in your laptop, at worst, they could be a fire hazard. Cheap copies, bootlegs, will not last long, the connection may be different causing them to not interface with the Laptop. Pain and Heartache. Look here for a price comparison : http://www.google.com/webhp?source=search_app#q=hp+probook+6450b+battery&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=LAyzUf74BMq60AGYyoBg&sqi=2&ved=0CD0Qsxg&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.47534661,d.dmQ&fp=cf719c32e5effe38&biw=1188&bih=549

there is no bios PW reset jumpers in laptops (toshsiba execpted)
the maker HP flat refuses to help, (this topic)
means they tell you to buy a new motherboard (wow)
so that leaves what?,
HACKING.
so google it.
some of these laptops have backdoor PW (bios)
and if you hit enter 3 times it shows a hinted PW code. if yes,, then.

How do i locate the hp probook 4520s BIOS password jumper on the motherboard

4520s.
you failed because of one reason, you asked on fixya not HP'
why ask here, there are no HP(few) folks here, they are all over at HP, real forum.?
bios resets are tricky,
the new rules changed with UEFI BIOS and or TPM chips added.
back in 2007 the mobo had reset jumper, (mine desktop does)
but not my 2008 elitebook laptop, due to the TPM rules.

first the link to your books
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ProBook-4520s-Notebook-PC/4145198

those cover most issues, you will have. all by HP direct,
page 126 here is not too clear;.
the answer is here
your PC is fully locked now, there is no way to reset it .
without HP direct intervention (fixya can never ever do that)
the send you a special binary flash file that only works on YOUR PC (a fact and is by DESIGN)

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/Probook-4545s-Bios-Password-reset/m-p/6350164#M147169

never use a BIOS password, unless you write it down and hide the paper in a book you know, where it is. (got books?) i know books are now (dead technology but)>?
if you guess and start flashing BIOS, you will BRICK THIS PC.

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.
