Keeps blowing internal breaker

The unit rated at 3 HP at 115 volts draws 13.8 amps is odd, a HP in watts is 745 and should be about 2200 watts and 19 amps plus a efficiency loss. Odd to see the ratings don't jive with electric theory/formulas.
The compressor should be connected directly to the wall and if using an extension cord, the cord needs to be #12 AWG or larger to avoid line voltage loss and over amping of the motor.
Here is contact and support info: For more information, please call 800/4-MAKITA (800/462-5482) or visit makitatools.com.
My bottom line is, A 115V motor circuit needs 10 amperes per horse power or 30 amp circuit for 3 horse power. Using extension cords calls for upgrade in wire gage of the cord. The advantage of using 230 volts is it cuts the amperes in half and allows use of smaller gage wire. Watts, or volt amperes is the product of volts and amps.

A person came and fitted a cooker and only put in a 13amp fuse is this safe ?

check the ampere rating of the unit on manual or nameplate, fuse rating must be at least 30% higher.

What size breaker does the sm-11 require 2-30amp or 2-60 amp?

You will need the 2-60A breakers. 11kw is 11,000 watts. Watts = voltage X Current (amperes) If we take this formula and change it around to calculate amperes it is like this. Amperes = watts / volts amperes = 11000 watts / 240 volts This is 45.8 amperes or let us say 46 amperes. The closest breaker that you have would be a 50 amp breaker 2 pole of course . 2 - 50. If you cannot get a 2 - 50 then a 2-60 is fine. I would run with a #6 copper wire, I would check with local code to verify the wire size in your area. Make sure that the unit is grounded as well. Minimum of a #10 wire, I would also check local codes as well. Enjoy the steam!

I need the size or model number for a replacement charger for the gateway solo 9550.

Compare your laptop voltage & ampere requirements (written on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop) with the voltage & ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same, or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the laptop's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at least equal to or greater than the laptop's rating. It should never be less than the laptop's rating, or else the power adapter will be providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery.

My netbook power cord is no longer working. the netbook charges fine on my labtop cord. will this cause any problems to the netbook?

Not at all. Especially if the power adapter is providing enough power to both run the netbook & charge the battery. A very good way to do this is to compare your netbook voltage & ampere requirements (written on a sticker on the bottom of the netbook) with the voltage & ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same, or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the netbook's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at least equal to or greater than the netbook's rating. It should never be less than the netbook's rating, or else the power adapter will be providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery.

Ampers for Sony CDX-S2210S CD

If the in-line fuse from the car installation is still attached, check the fuse rating; it will state a figure that is in excess of the demand of the stereo. In other words, if the fuse has 10A on it, it was chosen to fail at currents higher than that. If this unit is only a CD player (no amplifier built-in), it will not likely draw in excess of 2 amperes and probably not over 1 ampere.

A\\VOL Model ALTD1902M - Where to Find Power Cable?

POWER: AC 100V-240V at 50/60 Hertz means that your unit has a switching power supply built in which will operate on ANY AC (alternating current) voltage from 100V up to 240V, on either 50 or 60 hertz frequency.

(110V @ 60 Hertz is an USA wall outlet power standard, whereas 220V @ 50 Hertz is the European wall outlet power standard)

So, you can actually use it with just about any line voltage from a standard home wall power outlet, you just need the correct power cable that fits into your unit on one side and into the wall socket on the other.

The 60W power rating is just telling you how much power the unit consumes for operation which means that if you hook it to a 110V power line (USA), it will draw a current of approximately 0,54 amperes (60 watts divided by 110 volts equals to 0,54545 amperes) and if you hook it to a 230V power line (Europe), it will draw a current of approximately 0,26 amperes (60 watts divided by 230 volts equals to 0,26086 amperes).

The switching power supply in the unit has an internal fuse which is rated somewhat above the 0,54 amperes, could be a 0,63 amperes, but most probably it is rated at about 1 ampere or more.

If the specs you listed are correct, you only need to worry about the correct power cable that will fit into your wall socket on one side and into the combo unit on the other.

Hopefully, if the unit is in good health, you haven't wasted your money after all.

The ampere is the SI unit of electric current. The ampere, in practice often shortened to amp, is an SI base unit, and is named after André-Marie Ampère, one of the main discoverers of electromagnetism.
In practical terms, the ampere is a measure of the amount of electric charge passing a point per unit time.

Hi,

Check the ampere rating of your compressor, which is indicated in the nameplate. you can size up your fuse from there. the ampere rating of your fude should be bigger than the compressor amp rating.

Hope it helps

Freezer not working but motor working

hi! that symptom correspond hizzing sound on evaporator.factors are to be check before you can diagnose insusfficent cooling effect check your actual opearating current using clamp ammeter, set to amperes rating, clamp to one line source take thereading, compare reading on the tag locate at the backside of freezer there is rated ampers indicated.if you got low amper rating your system is under charge, thats the time you recharge your system by qualified ref/ac technician.but if you got high amper rating your filter need to replace as well as your refrigerant.check also the high side pressure by service pressure gauge manifold or the compressor discharge pressure if can compress to 300 to 500 psig.if not your compressor has loose compression.compressor is worn out.
