Drain plug leaks, won't hold water. Where are parts available for this problem?

    that was a lame answer

With this type of drain I found it best to just remove the assembly and purchase a rubber plug. All you have to do is unscrew the top and remove the rubber gasket. Once the top is off you can use a large screwdriver to remove the assembly from the drain. Now you have a normal drain that can be plugged, plunged, etc..

Amana front loader washer nfw7200tw leaks water in soap dispenser

We had a soap cap block the drainage drain of our Amana nfw7200tw. We were able to clear it by removing the front rubber gasket and reaching in and accessing the drain tube. There are videos on how to do this on youtube.

Then we had a problem still as it would drain at first (so no blockage) then a valve would shut and we'd get a massive overflow worse than before. This required resetting the machine. To reset:

  1. Turn off the power.
  2. Unplug the power socket.
  3. Press and hold the "Start or Pause" button for five seconds. The LED light will come on then once it goes off the machine has reset.
  4. Plug back in.
  5. Then test carefully. If the problem persists try resetting again as it's easy to get the timing off.

Whirpool built-in puddle of water in bottom, food on drain

see this causes and proceed according. God bless you
Belt, Water Pump Although few dishwashers have a water pump belt, if the dishwasher won't drain there might be a worn or broken water pump belt. After removing the lower kick panel the motor can be seen in the front, the water pump belt is on the bottom of the motor.

Drain Pump If the dishwasher won't drain, the drain pump might be defective. Test the pump motor with an Ohm meter. Drain pumps are not repairable, if it's defective it will need to be replaced.

Drain Impeller The drain impeller is attached to the pump and pushes the water out of the dishwasher, through the drain tube and into the garbage disposer or drain line. If the dishwasher won't drain, the drain impeller might be broken or worn out. Replace both the impeller and seal at the same time.

Drain Solenoid Kit If the dishwasher won't drain, the drain solenoid kit might need to be replaced. The drain solenoid is an actuator that opens a flap to allow the water to drain.
Drain Valve The drain valve can get clogged with debris and should be cleaned out if the dishwasher won't drain. If it seems clear of debris but won't actuate, it will need to be replaced. The drain valve is not repairable Pump and Motor Assembly If the dishwasher won't drain, the pump and motor assembly might be defective. If the motor runs during the drain cycle, check for a blockage in the drain line. If the motor won't run during the drain cycle or if it just hums when it should be running, the pump and motor assembly might need to be replaced.

Clogged or Improperly Installed Garbage Disposer If the dishwasher won't drain and the garbage disposer was installed recently, the installer might have forgotten to knock out the drain plug from this disposer. All garbage disposers are sold with a solid plug in the drain tube for situations where a dishwasher isn't connected. However, if the dishwasher is connected, the plug will need to be removed. If the disposer wasn't replaced recently, remove the dishwasher drain hose from the disposer and clean out both the fitting on the disposer and the end of the drain hose. These are the most common places to find an obstruction if the dishwasher won't drain.

Check Valve If the dishwasher won't drain the check valve might be stuck closed. The check valve is a small plastic device which prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained. If the valve gets stuck closed, it will prevent the water from draining. The check valve is the device that the drain hose is attached to on the dishwasher.

Check Ball If the dishwasher won't drain the check ball might be stuck. The check ball is a small plastic ball in the check valve which prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained. If the ball gets stuck, it will prevent the water from draining also. The check valve is the device that the drain hose is attached to on the dishwasher.

What would cause the refrigerator door on a side by side to leak from the bottom of the door? The unit is very old

Leak as in water, or leak as in air flow? If it is leaking water, then you probably have a plugged drain that a warm guitar string down the drain might clear.

Leak as in air flow, usually means that you have something embedded in the soft rubber so that it doesn't form a tight seal or the rubber has deteriorated to the point that it won't form a good seal. If this is the case thien you will have to change the door seal to correct it.

My maytag mtw5600tq1 washer won't hold water. Its

Hi,
Its sounds like you have a siphon going on, this happens when the drain hose it too low during fill and as the water enters the unit it exits through the drain hose. To stop this the drain hose needs to be higher than the tub itself, meaning: raise the drain hose behind the washer to about control panel area. This will or should stop the siphon effect and allow the water to remain in the tub. If the drain hose is low this siphon will start again.
I hope this helps

Give 01 error code stating there is a water leak. There is no water leak & we don't know how to reset.

Remove the plug and keep aside for about 15 minutes. Now hold down the start/stop button -- press on all the control panel buttons to drain off residual voltage.
While you put the plug back hold down the start /stop button. it must reset. if not check the inlet/ drain valves for dirt clogging..

Dishwasher leak dripping down side of drain solenoid

it is possible that the plastic has developed a crack at the end of the threaded section
if you are handy with tools , turn the water off and remove that assembly( turn the power off at the plug)
check with a service agent spares department first as that part may not be available because of the age

Navigator leaking coolant

Check you to see that you don't have loose or leaking cooling hoses, a bad radiator cap, a loose radiator drain plug, or a failing water pump.

da13c37.jpeg

If all these are OK, put a bottle of BAR's radiator stop in the radiator and run the engine in idle for 15 to 30 minutes. Available at your local auto parts store.

If your leak is not to serious, this should fix the problem. Put a bottle of radiator stop leak in your cooling system and repeat the procedure once every six months, to lubricate the water pump and keep leaks sealed.

Freezer door leaking alot of water on floor no ice on door

This really sounds like a plugged drain. When the unit goes into defrost the water should run down the drain into the drain pan...when the drain is plugged it will run over and down to the bottom of the freezer thus leaking out the bottom of the door and onto the floor. You will need to take everything out of the freezer and remove the screws that hold the back panel on break out the ice at the bottom and use hot water to pour down the drain to clear it.....also if you have a small hose to shove down the drain that will help out alot.
