SOURCE: I have a Technics SA

Hi!

The F70 error certainly indicates a blown fuse inside.
The real problem is why the fuse is blown: there are only two possible reasons
1. there is a short circuit on the output (lines or speakers)
2. you have a blown output transistor (and that means some work and skills to replace).

To be sure, please change the fuse with a same rated fuse (buy more than one because it can blow again). Disconnect the speakers and turn the amp on. If the fuse blows again, it is sure something wrong with the output transistors. If the fuse remains ok, then please check all the wiring to the speakers.

Hope it helped.

Regards,

Bogdan

How do I connect my SL PD7 to SA-DX750?

Hi Fred Tromp, you have two ways to connect the Technics SL PD7 CD player to the Technics SA-DX750
The first is through a fiber optic cable, from the Digital Optical output of the SL-PD7, to Optical Input 1 or Optical Input 2
The other alternative is to use a 2 RCA to 2 RCA cable and connect them between the L and R outputs of the SL-PD7 to the CD L and R inputs on the SA-DX750
I hope you can interconnect the equipment

F70 displays after about 5 min of use.

According to Technics reference manual, turn the unit off, unplug for a few, plug in, turn unit on. Consult your "dealer"(authorized repair person, i guess) if light remains on. But doesn't say what f70 means, or associated with.
Unplug and open up the unit, and check the internal fuses on the circuit board. Also check for proper speaker wire hook up. Re-seat the connections. Visibly check the speaker wire runs for shorts, cracked casing, cat/dog chewing. etc.

Hope this helps.
