Hotpoint Ice Maker Stopped Making Ice

My Hotpoint Refrig is only abut 3 years old. The ice maker had been working just fine. Actually, it was producing more ice than we needed. Then all of a sudden, it just stopped producing ice cubes. The model is a side by side model #HSM25GFRE SA and Serial #MG201364. I'm hoping it's something as simple as a crimped line, etc. Any suggestions?

The ice maker in my Whirlpool Gold refrigerator has stopped making ice. There is ice in the tray, but it won't empty itself.
If the " tray " you are refering to , is the ice maker mold , then clean the coils in the front , under the refrig ( condensor coils ) . Also check the fan behind the refrig , to make sure it is working . An ice maker has to be 5 degrees to cycle . Bothe the coils and the fan , have to be checked to be sure the freezer is at the correct temp for the ice maker to opperate properly . If both are ok , then replace the ice maker .

Your model has an electronic ice maker part number Click Here=> WR30X10093 When the electronic ice maker fails you usually need to replace the complete ice maker. You can test the ice maker by filling the tray with tap water. If the water freezes aand then drops the ice then the water control on the back of your refrigerator is the reason. The ice maker stopped making ice. Any solutions?
A lot of filters ( not all ) do not even access the ice maker . Only the water dispensor . If your water dispensor is working fine , then you need to replace the dual water inlet valve behind the refrig . This is the piece the wall water line connects to . It is called a dual valve because there are 2 coils on the valve . 1 for the ice maker and 1 for the water dispensor .

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it dumps , then replace the dual water valve behind the refrig . If it does not dump the frozen cubes , replace the ice maker .

Ice maker not working
is there a filter on the water line? if so check and replace as neccesary-usually all water going into a fridge ice maker is filtered if it was installed properly for fresh tasting ice......if not there usually is a valve where the water line connects to one of your houses water line ....be careful with that but make sure it is all the way open......maybe try cleaning or replacing the lines if it comes down to it. let me know what happens.
