I downloaded my pics of a Canon Ixus 500 and now would like to delete the pictures on my camera. How do I do that?

You can connect camera's memory card to computer, then download this picture recovery program which is outstanding among all picture recovery software.

Check thath the pictures are not 'protected' and the card is not in 'lock'-position. If you're not able to delete the pictures in the camera, use a card reader and delete them in the computer. You can also 'move' the pictures during download instead of just 'copy' them. This will clear the card. Also formatting the card will erase any files on the card.

Try using a card reader to download your pics. Also, go to a store like Walmart that has a Kodak picture maker machine. You should be able to see all of your pics and print them or even make a cd of them.

try fomat the SD card before you take pictures

Hi,
This is a known issue with Canon, it's mentioned on their support pages, FAQ ID: 37383. Horizontal lines appear in the preview picture once the photo is taken. I have a Canon Ixus 500 and I rang Canon UK and they gave me a case number and list of authorised dealers via email for a free repair.
