The Partner ACS system uses 2 AAA batteries to retain programming from 45 to180 days, in the event of a power outage. When these batteries fail, a system warning (replace sys bat w/ power on) will display on the screen of extensions 10 and 11.With new batteries in hand, go to the phone system cabinet and find the system processor. The system processor will be marked on the top third of the card with a label marked "Partner ACS processor".
On the bottom of the processor module, below the extension jacks, there is a battery compartment. With the power on, Push in slightly on the battery compartment and slide the black locking latch up to cover the"+" icon. Remove the battery assembly by pulling the tab at the bottom of the compartment cover.Place the batteries into the metal battery clips fully. Make sure the polarity of the batteries is correct by looking inside the metal battery clips for the "+" and "-" icons cut into the metal of the battery clip. With the locking latch in the unlocked (up) position slide the battery assembly back into the processor card far enough that the edges of the assembly slip behind the plastic housing of the processor card.Slide the locking latch down to secure the battery compartment. The message on your screen will disappear if the batteries are inserted correctly.

Is there a reset button? The message on the screen did not disappear?

  • Anonymous Jun 08, 2012

I had the message that did not disapper from the screen on the main console(s). I used another set of batteries just to be sure the ones I put in were not defective and made sure the batteries were seated properly. After sliding the black clip (with + - signs) back on, I pushed the battery compartment in and held it in for a couple of seconds to make sure the battery was accepted. I came back to check and the message was cleared. Maybe this might work for you.

HOW DO I UNFREAZE ABLACK DSI

  • 1 Hold down the "Power" button for at least four seconds to turn the DSi off. If the system powers off, hold the Power button to turn the system back on and reset the operating system. The system should no longer be frozen. If the system doesn't power off, go to the next step.
  • 2 Plug the Nintendo DSi to the power outlet using its AC adapter. Allow the system to charge for two to three hours. A battery may be recharged 500 times or less before being depleted. Once charged, hold down the "Power" button to turn on and reset the operating system. The system should unfreeze itself; if not, follow the next step.
  • 3 Remove the battery from the Nintendo DSi. Unplug the AC adapter from the DSi. Loosen the two screws with a Philips screwdriver on the battery cover. Remove the cover, then remove the battery. Put the old battery back in or replace it with a new battery. Removing and resituating an old battery will sometimes jolt the system and allow it to unlock itself. Replace the battery cover and retighten the screws. Then, try to hold down the "Power" button to unfreeze the system.

Computer flashed up a message about the battery but this was too quick to read. Computer is now dead though fues in plug is OK

try turning your system on without the battery if it powers without the battery then there is something wrong with your battery and may need replacing,

Also try doing a power drain on the system remove the battery while shut down make sure the adaptor is not connected to the machine press the power botton down for 10 seconds to drain whatever power the Mainboard has then try putting the battery on the system and conenct the adaptor and power it up if the system powers up that will be a good sign but still you may ned to call you computer manufacturer to check for any info about the battery it is possible you may need to replace it ^_^

System battery failure with AC power on

Your system uses the battery as a backup in the event of an AC power failure. This battery is constantly being trickle charged by the system. However, just like a car battery, each year as the battery gets older it also loses some of its capacity to maintain the system during a power outage. Normally after 4-5 years the battery needs to be replaced. In addition to your system keeping the battery charged it also monitors the battery's charging capacity. When the system fails to maintain a suitable charge the system will indicate a "low battery". It is probably time to replace your battery. You can normally find a replacement by going to a battery warehouse retailer in your town. Hope this helps you.

    Total battery power remaining: Unknown

Well you can try a system restore.

    1.) start
    2.) programs / accessories / system tools
    3.) system restore

follow the on screen instructions too restore the computer to a few days before it started having problems.

Chances are that the battery is shot if system restore fails.

If the UPS has the serial or USB cable attached to a computer of any kind, you can use the UPS management software to disable the alarm until you can replace the battery. You should schedule the battery replacement for after hours just to be safe. If your phone system has redundant power supplies or two power cords, you can plug the system into wall power to replace the battery and then go back to battery power when you're done.

Simon 3 "System Low Battery" after 3 years use

I install these panels.  For the low battery message to clear you need to power the system down completely.  To do this you need to unplug the battery and also unplug the transformer plugged into an electrical outlet.  When you power the system back up, you need to first plug in the battery leads.  Then the transformer.

    NO POWER AT ALL

Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter. With the AC adapter unplugged from the system, plug it into the wall, see if the power LED comes on. If it does, plug it into the system and see if it goes out. If the LED never comes on, or goes out when connected to the system, replace the AC adapter.

If the LED stays one, see if the system will power on and give any indications of power at all (Flashing Caps Lock, Scrool Lock, Num Lock LEDs) If no power indication with a good ac adapter connected, then the motherboard is the next item to replace.

Either item listed above can prevent the battery from charging. So the battery is the last item I'd replace unless the system turns on with the battery out of the system.
