How do I fix my black ink cartridge on hp Photosmart c6280

Make sure ink cartridges are snapped into place and are properly installed in their appropriate slot.
Double check to make sure that you've removed the tape over the vent if you installed a new cartridge.
Check if the vents of the cartridges are clogged. You can fix this by gently using a pin to clean up the clog on the vent. Try using a different ink cartridge to determine if your printer is able to recognize cartridges. If your printer used to work with an old cartridge, try installing that old cartridge again and see if your printer produces any sort of output-any shade of gray will do.

Cant install bought new ink but printer wont work now and it has always worked

Did you remove the tape on the bottom of the ink cartridge? If you did, remove the cartridge a double check under good lighting. It is not uncommon for the tape to tear, leaving a small piece which interferes with the printing. Another thing to consideris how long the printer sat with no ink cartridge. Over time the print head nozzel can become clogged with dried ink. If that happens you can either replace the print head, (which will cost almost as much as a new printer) or buy a print head cleaner and do it yourself. Head cleaning kits are available on the internet for about $10 and usually fix the problem.

Although new black cartridge insalled (colour OK) page will not print in black - seems a blockage?

Open the printer and remove the ink. Clean around the ink carriage and the under the ink with alcohol and a cotton swab. Pay special attention to areas with copper contacts. Keep in mind too that some printers will not print, even with full ink, if the exact type of ink it expected you to have installed is not right. Double check that the ink is correct against the manual or written instructions inside the printer using the number not the shape. Not every cartridge that fits the printer necessarily works.

I install a new ink cartidge color into my LexMark Printer is P4350. Its keeps telling me I have a error of 1203. What does this mean?

Bad or mis-installed ink cartridge. Open the printer and remove the ink. Clean around the ink carriage and the under the ink with alcohol and a cotton swab. Pay special attention to areas with copper contacts. If the printer has a cleaning option either on the printer itself through the menuing system or on the machine through the print driver, you can use that afterwards. Some printers will let you re-run the cleaning utility several times. Keep in mind too that some printers will not print, even with full ink, if the exact type of ink it expects you to have is not installed. This will give a similar error. Double check that the ink is correct against the manual or written instructions inside the printer. Not every cartridge that fits the printer necessarily works.

Printer will not print out, it's going through the motions and has new ink cartridges but no actual print

Open the printer and remove the ink. Clean around the ink carriage and the under the ink with alcohol and a cotton swab. Pay special attention to areas with copper contacts. Some printers will let you re-run a cleaning utility from their system menu or the computer printer properties. Keep in mind too that some printers will not print correctly, even with full ink, if the exact type of ink it expects you to have is not installed. If all else fails change out the ink, but first double check that the ink is correct against the manual or written instructions inside the printer. Check the number not the shape, because not every cartridge that fits the printer necessarily is the right type and using the wrong ink can cause unexpected results similar to this.

Top light blinking, will not print

I believe that the top light is the low printer cartridge signal. Did you replace the cartridge or just take it out and reinstall it? Did you use a new HP cartridge or refilled cartridge?

Try a new ink cartridge from HP and double check that you have the correct cartridge for your printer. If that doesn't solve the problem, contact HP.

Unable to print color pictures.

Double check the number on your old ink cartridge and verify they match the new one. Double check that the sticker protecting the ink cartridge is off, and then try again. If all this is corrct at least take cartridge out and place it back in, it could be a bad connection. Hope this helps
