READ MANUAL IT CAME IT MAY HELP YOU ADJUST TRUSS BAR.

  • Anonymous Mar 18, 2011

I believe that guitar has the adjustment inside the sound hole toward the neck - it should take an allen wrench to adjust it - or it could be on the peg head between the tuners - anyway, to check the adjustment fret the first fret and the fourteenth fret and look at the distance between the string and the seventh fret - you want about a 32nd of an inch, called relief, so the neck is not straight, but has a slight bow in it - if you turn it clockwise you will reduce this distance - if you turn counter clockwise you will increase this distance - turn a little at a time - if you are not seeing a change stop and take it to a shop to be checked out - don't turn more then one turn if you are not seeing a change - hope this helps - have a nice day :O)

ON ACCOUSTIS GUITARS OFTEN TIMES THE TRUSS BAR IS UNDERNEATH THE SOUND HOLE ON ELECTRIC GUITARS YOU CAN ALMOST BET THE TRUSS BAR IS GOING TO BE AT THE TOP OF THE NECK. UNDERNEATH A WHITE PANEL.. REMOVE THIS PANEL, UNDO THE 2 SCREWS HAVE A LOOK AT THE TRUSS BAR, SEE HOW ITS GOING INTO THE NECK. WE SEE NOW THAT THE TRUSS BAR HAS A GRADUAL INLET HOLE, GET A SCREWDRIVER IN THERE TO ADJUST IT.

I have picked up a washburn lyon series electric guitar s/n 5062530 stamped on the neck plate what year is it and where is it made

It's probably 1995 Washburn Lyon WE3, the pickup configuration is two single coil pickups. It would be easier to tell if there was a photo available.

How to adjust truss rod on fender duff mckagan bass

The truss rod adjustment is on the body end of the neck, not at the headstock.
You need to;
remove the strings
unscrew the neck from the body
Make a small adjustment
Re-attach the neck
Re-string the bass
rinse and repeat until satisfied

The neck of my guitar is not straight but i alreadyadjusted the trusrod

Edgar,
How are you determining that the neck is not straight? If you are thinking the neck is not straight because the strings are at different heights along the neck, the problem may be neck tilt or saddle and/or bridge height. You can raise or lower the bridge system or string saddles to add or subtract string height along the neck. In addition, neck tilt (particularly easy to adjust on bolt-on necks) refers to the angle that the guitar neck exits the neck pocket on the guitar body. This also effects string height.
Conversly, if you see a distict bow or bend in the neck when you look down the top edge of the neck, the truss rod may indeed be involved. Generally, most players like a little bit of "relief" in the neck. That is to say, a little bit of a concave bow. I prefer a relatively straight neck with very little relief. Just preference.
However, you mentioned you already adjusted the truss rod. Make sure the truss rod is functional. If you loosen the bolt or hex on the truss rod and the concave bow on the neck gets more pronounced, it is likely that you truss rod is ok. If you make adjustments on the bolt and there is little or no change on the neck relief, it is possible that your truss rod is not functioning or is broken. It is very possible to break a truss rod by over tightening but it would take some real effort to do. Still, it is possible.
Check out those points and see if it helps.
Confirm truss rod is working.
Check bridge height and saddle height.
See if adjusting neck tilt is possible on your model guitar.
Good luck.

The nut on my neck feel off how do i put it back on so i can addjust it

I am not sure if you know what the "nut" is... it is the little bar that the strings go over after they leave the tuners. If this is what you are refering to, the "nut" just rest at the end of the fret board and is held in place by string tension. You orient it so the one flat side goes down and rests on the neck and the other flat side rests agains the fret board end. You USUALLY do not adjust this unless the string height is wrong at the end of the neck nearest the tuners. Essentially you just seat it and then the string tension holds it in place... The only adjustment available is to lower it by taking material off by sanding OR to put a few layers of parchment paper beneath it.
Hopefully this is the nut you are talking about and not the truss rod adjustment which, unless you are experienced, you should NOT attempt to change. If you have disturbed the truss rod, take it to a guitar shop for repair.

Buzz at the e6 string 11th fret

Have you changed strings on it? Old strings get worn spots in them from rubbing on the frets that will cause these type of symptoms. If you put new strings on and get the same issue, check your neck relief (the amount of bow in the neck) to do this, hold your low E string at the first fret, and at the 12th or 14th fret. The neck should have a slight bow in the middle that puts it between 1/16" and 1/8" or so away from your string. If it does not have enough bow in it, you can adjust the truss rod. Most guitars use an allen wrench for this, it will be inside the soundhole on an acoustic usually, and on an electric it is normally on the headstock under a cover. There are many how-to's online about adjusting a truss rod, the key is to do it very slowly, only do about a 1/2 turn a day, retune, check it again the next day. Loosen the truss rod to put more neck relief, tighten to straighten the neck. If this still doesn't fix you up, let me know, and I'll tell you where to go from there.

Washburn guitar B and high E string sound real buzzy-tinny. am fretting it clean. It just started doing it. Any Help?

Probably time for string replacement !!! They do go bad...

Get a set and try the E string... if it fixes that one, change ALL the strings at one sitting, but do them one at a time and tune each as you go... this keeps the tension and minimizes the interaction when you do the final tuning.

What kind of strings are best for washburn X 10

the washburn X10 is an electric guitar.

first thing you you want to make sure of is that you ask for electric guitar strings

next consider what kind of music your are playing...

heavier music or really moody warm tones your going to want thicker strings

med to heavy guage

if you want clear crisp tones than go with lighter guage

light to med

lighter guages are also easier on the finger tips.

the sizes usually refer the the smallest string on the bottom or the first string.

9 is the light 10-11 is med 12 is heavy

you might also want to consider nylon coated strings

they last longer

have great tone

easy on the fnger tips

but they cost more

I need to know how to adjust my truss bar on my washburn d10 to make the string action bigger

Actually you can do this by adding shims under the saddle to raise the action. Then use the truss rod to make the action uniform if necessary. I try to avoid making adjustments to the neck because it could lead to undesirable perminent alteration to the neck. If you do make adjustments to the truss rod you should tune the guitar to pitch and let it sit left alone overnight to allow the wood time to adjust to the new adjustments.
