The noise is most likely the evaporator fan motor, it is pretty simple to replace. Just remove the rear panel in the freezer to access it, the part you need can be ordered at, Sears Parts. For more information on how to perform your repair please reply.

Why my amana freezer is making a lot of noise i have to turn it of on on for the noise to stop/

if noise is coming from inside freezer,,, the fan is probably hitting ice buildup,, and when you unplug fridge it thaws and noise goes away for a few days. sounds like a defrost problem.. either therostat is bad or heating element is broken and needs to be replaced

Possible problem with ice build up and fridge doesnt get cold enough to store food. Freezer works fine.

The noise is due to the ice build up in your evaporator. The evaporator fan blade is rubbing against the ice build up. This can is designed to turn off when you open the door. As far as the defrost problem it can be your defrost bimetal thermostat, the defrost timer/control or your defrost heater.

The freezer side of this unit quit freezing. Everything is thouging out. Fridge side isn't as cold as it used to be. Both controls have been set on factory recomemded settings since install. I keep...

A popping noise? Could it be the clicking of a relay? There is a relay that activates the compressor that could cause a clicking sound if it doesn't hold. A popping sound could be a bad capacitor but normally isn't a continuous popping sound, unually only one pop.

If the unit is only 4 monthes old it should still be under warranty and you should call it in for repair.

My fridge makes a lot of noise getting started. Why is that.

noise like the..compressor.
like bubbling of u r refigerator..
i think u r compressor doesnot get proper AMPE(current) firstly check u r referagator current by AMPmeter connecting in series...if it takes about(3-4) it will be ok greater that or less than 3-4 u r compressor is dead...after a time it shutdown the compressor (by relay).

if only bubblink and creating lot of noise and then sets ur electric current is not good for ur fridge. change the electric current ur fridge will be oky...

i hope my ide will works for u...

My rear back brakes on my 1997 pontiac sunfire have been making a scraping noise for the past month. When I took the car in to have an allignment in a heated garage for over a hour on my way home they just...

When applied, brakes generate lots of heat... If noise was there after dirving for a while, likely the noise is not from ice. If noise is gone, wait and see if it returns, If it does, check rear brake linings to make sure they are OK (never hurts to check them once in a while anyhow!!!)
