The internal memory is not the same as the memory card memory. The camera needs some elbowroom in the internal memory to work at all. It can't use the card memory while the internal memory is full. You need to delete some pictures from the internal memory, then insert the memory card, and it should work (assuming it is formatted correctly and is otherwise compatible).

Internal memory can indeed be full. I would suggest however to purchase a memory card for this camera, which will give you quite a bit more memory than what is available internally.

The card may have become corrupted. Use a separate card reader and download any pictures from the card. Then, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

Internal memory is full, how do I transfer these pictures to a SD

Plug your camera into your computer. You will have two removable drives. One for the internal memory of your camera as well as the memory card. If you press My computer in Windows you will see two removeable drive devices.

Internal Memory is Full

Go into review, and then menu. Go to image storage and then set "auto" or memory card. You may have it set to store your images in the internal memory.
