WLAN Autheticating Problems with WPA-PSK MC9090, but not MC3070

Hello, we are experiencing wlan problems with MC9090 scanners together with WPA-PSK encryption. We are also using MC3070, but with that we don't see any problems. The problem looks like followings, the scanner shows very often, that is can not see any WLAN signal. The Message is "Out of Range". We have more then enough AP. That shouldnt be the problem. As mentioned in the same situation the MC3070 scanner works without any problems. Does someone experienced similar problems? Thanks

Same issue. Old units were Symbol Palm 1846, WEP encryption. No delay between scans, no connection problems. MC9090G, TKIP, on VLAN. Frequent 'Network Out of Range' errors, does not connect in all areas as Palms did, and there is a delay between scans. Not sure if this is a problem with access point, the switch, or the gun itself. WPA encryption in MC9090 must be HEX format.

I have an MC9090 with windows mobile 5.0. I was wondering if it is typical to have two symbol PHOTON WLAN drivers appear on the network card connections list

Dont worry about that. Anyhow the connection is handled through Fusion software and not windows settings. Icon on the today screen in the right down corner.

Cannot connect to Motorloa MC9090-G to wirless network due to regulatory issues. All of my connection parameters are correct. Can someone help?

Hello,

please asure yourself, that in Options of the WLAN Fusion Client (icon in the right corner) is the Regulatory set for the correct country.

To be sure, just disable the 802.11d checkbox in Fusion - Options - Regulatory.

My mc3070 motorola scanner won't connect to the internet, or scan any tickets.

MC3070 is equiped with 802.11b/g radio so the WLAN connection should, do you see any WLANs available in the Find WLans dialog?
The Find Wlans dialog can you open through an icon of the Fusion application in the right corner.
For scanning would you need an software, usually is a demo software preinstalled. You could find it in the Application Folder. The demo software is called ScanSample or ScanWedge.
You can also download an application called DataWedge from the support.symbol.com website

MFC-7840W Printer: need tp set the wireless setting, lost the instruc...

To setup your Brother MFC-7840W on a wireless network do the following:

Press Menu.

Scroll down to #5 LAN and hit OK

In the LAN submenu, scroll down to 2. WLAN and hit OK.

In the WLAN submenu select 2. Setup Wizard.
(The printer will search for the SSID of your network. If you are presented with multiple networks, select yours and hit OK.)

Depending whether you have setup a network key on your wireless network, you will have to choose the type of connection. Your options will be Open System, Shared key, and WPA/WPA2-PSK.

If you have a Shared Key or WPA/WPA2-PSK network, then you willhave to enter the key to connect. Open Key does not use a key to connect.

So for instance, if you selected WPA2-PSK you will then be asked to enter your passphrase key to connect to your wireless network.

Windows Mobile Symbol Find WLAN error

Warm boot the MC55 if that doesn't help then cold boot it, if that doesn't help then reload the Operating system, if that doesn't fix it then send it back to Motorola for a warranty repair.
