Can printmaster gold 18 be run on windows 7 - Broderbund PrintMaster Gold Version 18

Hi, PrintMaster is known for having versions that are not compatible with certain Windows Operating Systems, 18 is known to not work with Vista, yet works with 7 and XP quite well. The best solution would be either to upgrade to Windows 7 or get another version. Good luck!

Administrator privileges are required to properly install the program on Windows® XP, Windows Vista®, Windows® 7 and Mac OS X for PrintMaster Platinum 2011 .

Using mouse, right click on the "setup" and Run as "Administrator"

You can try if this works in compatibility mode in your pc - Try running in compatibility mode. Right click the program icon, click Troubleshoot Compatibility, wait while the problem is detected. Click Troubleshoot program > select an appropriate version of Windows the program is known to run in, try Windows Vista SP2 > start the program to see if it runs. If it runs, click next to proceed with saving the settings for it.

Installing PrintMaster 18 on any computer requires .NET Framework 1.1 to be installed on the hard drive. If NET Framework 1.1 is not installed, it will be installed from thePrintMaster 18 install disk before PrintMaster 18 is installed. Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Is your PMG 3.0 on the software compatibility listing for W/7? Did you check it? Pleae check it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

If your software is Windows 7 compatible, the list will tell you ... it should run with no hitches. If PMG 3.0 is not listed, you can appeal to the Printmaster Company for a upgrade path.

There is a compatibility test you can run from within the above link that will tell you what on your 'old' computer will migrate to your new computer ...

I am trying to install a watermark to a document with print master gold 18. I'm having absolutely no success whatsoever. Anyone withany suggestions

found the fix for printmaster 18 broderbund pdf saving problems...
1-close all open programs and return to desktop.
2-click START and choose CONTROL PANEL
3-click PRINTER
4-right click on BRODERBUND PDF CREATER, then select PROPERTIES (the broderbund PDF creater properties window will open)
5-click the PORTS tab, then select ADD PORT button. (the printer ports window will open)
6-click NEW PORT, then enter PMPDF in the ENTER A PORT NAME window, then click OK
7-click CLOSE at the PRINTER PORTS window. you will now be looking at the broderbund PDF creater properties window
8-a check mark will be located next to the new PMPDF printer port. click APPLY. the broderbund pdf creator will now be located next to the new port. click OK.
9-exit all windows and restart the computer. once the computer restarts, you can save your project as a pdf file.
