there will be a water level sensor at inside wall try to fix it .it also seem to be a power failure case well since you have just got it must in warranty or free service utilise it. If you like my suggestion then vote for me i will be thankfull
This is usually a problem with the water float. Clean the float and assembly (see the instruction manaul) and that should fix it. The light is coming on cause the unit 'thinks' there is no water.
The unit works for a few minutes (green light) and then stops - is typical of a float that sticks when it gets to the bottom. So pay attention to that part of the assembly or the bottom of the float having grime or buildup.
FROM TROUBLESHOOTING SECTION OF MANUAL:
Humidifier power light is staying red and
not turning green
Humidifier is working than stops:
? Ensure that water level sensor is
assembled properly.
? Clean water float
? Call service center and request
replacement water float
when the light changes to yellow it is just adjusting to the newly added water. If you let it run the light should turn back to green. I think the light is only indicative of water level. I've had this humidifier for over a year and only gotten a yellow light once. It turned green after some of the water in the basin drained. Hope this helps
The red light indicates that there is no water in it. You need to put water in it, then a green light comes on instead. When the water runs out you will see the light turn red again. You need to fill it about 2/3 - 3/4 of the way up to make it last. You should refill it about once a day or every 2 days depending on how often you use it. But when you see the red light on then you know the water is gone.
Okay, I just started getting this same deal with my 7133 on it's third season. I found in a blog that if you hold down the button that controls the heat while turning the mist knob on, it resets the machine. It worked. The red light went green and I turned off the heat button for cool air and the upper light still stayed green. Fingers crossed this continues to work. good luck!
