My webcam does not work even if it is instlled and my computer does not any icon instead for webcam

Make sure that you are clicking the correct icon, if the installer icon on your desktop is what you are clicking it will really install over and over again, check in the Programs menu forthe Crystal Eye icon and click that instead of what you have on the desktop.

Also make sure you put the installer from the desktop to the downloads folder and create a new Icon shortcut from the programs menu that should open up the Application.

try to reinstall the webcam drivers if shows any error then un instll the webcam driver and reinstall the driver once again.even though the webcam is not working then it is the problem with the cable or camera so you have to consult hardware technition

If the webcam stopped working, or if the webcam icon is not displayed on either the desktop or the My Computer window, or cannot be started from the Windows Start menu, the webcam may be disabled. To enable the webcam, do the following actions.

1. Open the Device Manager .

2. Click on the plus (+ ) sign next to Imaging Devices and locate the webcam item in the device list.

3. If the webcam is listed under Imaging Devices but there is a red X on the icon, the webcam is disabled.

To enable the webcam, right-click the HP Webcam for XP icon and click Enable . The webcam icon should now display on the Desktop or the My Computer window.

plz go on compny site and download the driver and simply instll the cam drive than ur cam is working properly

i have lost my web cam driver cd so please give me soution how to install it model numer pd1001 series number n10225

u just go to add and remove option check that webcam drivers installed properly or not
take achancr uninstall it and install again from driver cd or dvd
hope u will get webcam icon
