No you need to oil these things even if you don't use them a lot you see condensation from the compresser gets in the gun if you don't have an moisture trap on the air line and even if you do you still put oil in the air fitting everytime you use it. So put oil in the front and back and hook it up to air and if you work it enough it will start working again

The nail gun will not shoot

I don't have that same model but my gun started doing something similar a while back. I was able to disassemble the head of the gun and found that the hammer or piston that drives the nail had rounded itself off and wasn't able to make good contact with the nail head. Instead it pushed itself on top of the nail and got wedged. It's nearly impossible to see the stuck nail or dulled piston head without taking it apart. Hopefully this will help.

How do you remove the front hub to remove the stuck nail

If a nail is stuck between the driver and nose of the gun, you will need to forcefully push the driver back into the gun. Remove the head and cylinder and place the body of the gun on piece of plywood with nose pointing up. Using very sturdy steel rod, hammer the driver down. The steel rod needs to be slightly thinner than the driver to allow for the stuck nail. I use a broken driver ground thinner on the side that will need to bypass the stuck nail. Careful when striking hard steel with hammer, could spinter (I use a heavy brass hammer). Good luck

Gun has no air leaks, when you shoot it it sounds like it is nailing but no nail comes out. It is a framing gun,4 yrs. old or so.

hello hunt..... oil it and also check to be sure that the nails you are using are the correct ones for that gun, and that the air pressure is set high enough.

Finally disconnect it from the air supply and manually raise and lower the "hammer" to properly lube it. Joe

8 penny nails are stuck in gun. How do you get them out?

If the nails are stuck in the rails, remove the rails and fish them out. If a nail is stuck between the driver and nose of the gun, you will need to forcefully push the driver back into the gun. I have a paslode nail framer 900600. the problem i have is the same after 3 exchanges. The gun will stop firing. i have oiled it, replaced gas, etc. the hammer simply will not come down to force the nail...

It may be as simple as making sure the spark plug lead is in the spark unit all the way.( Black box in the handle). Good Luck!! If you get stuck call Adelaide Nail Gun Repairs. They may be able to help you over the phone.

Plunger want retract

The hammer could just need to be oiled or you could have blown a seal in the gun which is not expensive to fix around 20.00 . A lot of times when my gun jams on a nail it gets stuck so the hammer won't go down. I just use something thin that will fit on the hammer and take a hammer and just tap it back into place.

Sparks from nailer

Do not worry. This is quite normal. It is the metal driver hitting the head of the nail. There are no electrical components in a pneumatic nail gun so this is pure metal-on-metal strike sparks. You may find it is more visible on certain nails than on others. But do not worry. It is normal. You may find the sparks reduce after time as the driver wears a little or takes on a certain shape.

All sounds normal though. Do not worry :)

Will a 1/3 hp compressor fire an 18 guage 5/8'-2" Finish nailer?

You compessor is ideal for a small spray gun however a pin nailer requires 80 to 100 psi and a small air storage thank to operate properly. The nailer may very well shoot a short nail into very soft wood at 30 psi, however there may not be enough pressure to push the piston back to top positon to load another nail and fire again. Good Luck
