Maytag LSE7806A Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Dec 19, 2010

I have a Maytag lsg7804aae stackable unit. The problem I am having is that the washer will not agitate or fill with water, however the unit will work on the spin cycle in all modes. Opened front panel of washer.. Checked fuse.. Fuse is good.. Water is on... I think I've narrowed it down to the either the water inlet valve or the timer... However I am unsure how to test either one... Please help!!! Thanks Rob

Timer is good, if you tried it on all the different cycles, must be the water inlet valve, does the hot water work, if you set to warm or hot..if so the cold water valve is shot

My stackable unit quit filling with water. It still spins and drains. I have cleaned the screens out for the water hoses. I have unplugged it for a few. What else can I do to fix my washer?

Use a meter to test the water valve solenoid coils, make sure nobody turned the supply hoses off without you knowing. Did you recently replace the fill hoses or have work done on the machine? Maytag Washer Dryer Combo Water Inlet Valve WP22001274

Maytag stackable top load wash maching - will fill with water but then nothing. It just stopped.??

Hi. Listen for an audible click as you just open and close the lid. You should hear a micro-switch. If you do not hear that click you most likely have a bad lid switch. A bad lid switch on a Maytag washer will still let it fill BUT, it will not agitate or spin.

If you hear a click then there are other things to that can cause the symptom that it would spin but not agitate.

I have a stackable Maytag. The water will not

I had a similar problem I just fixed. There is a fuse inside that keeps the water from filling if it's blown. Might try changing that first.

Frigidaire stackable will not stop filling with water or agitate.

yes unless pressure switch(water level switch)detects proper fill level wash will never start agitating some washer will not spin if switch does not detect empty tub

Maytag washer

This is similar to a problem I had after my power suddenly went out while the washer was filling with water. When the power resumed the washer would no longer run water... all other systems (agitate, drain, spin) worked fine.

A 10 minute, $113 dollar service call revealed that there was a fuse inside the front upper left area that had blown. Remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the front panel to get access to the inside.

Check it out and replace it if necessary.

Maytag Washer/Dryer stackable

well i am having about the same problem, but mine won't even fill, the dryer works but the washer won't fill or turn on at all. my husband had it all apart, too the control assembly to parts place and they said that hardly ever goes bad so it is still sitting unusable with no answer or money to spend on it in site.

Maytag Neptune Stackable washer continues to fill with water when unit is off

If the machine continues to fill even after the power has been switched off, this sounds like a stuck inlet valve. To identify the valve, look at your model in the "parts store" section of Maytag's website. The valve is item 21 on the "Control Panel, Top & Lid" drawing. From the drawing, the valve looks like a fairly standard item; I suspect you might get something suitable a bit cheaper elsewhere. A
