You should call for warranty service. If the set is very new try to get it exchanged.

There are some very heavy duty power supplies and many high power matrix drivers used in Plasma sets.

The description sounds like the noises are very loud. It is normal with any of these TV sets, if you put your ear right up to the back of the set at the vent holes you will hear some noises. These would be some acoustic harmonics from the power supplies and related circuits.

I am wondering if it is possible that there is something that is becoming less stable. If the set is working very well without any failure, so-far this is a very good sign. Before it gets to be a problem, I would have this checked.

On many models of these sets, they use fans for cooling specific areas. A bad fan can cause noise.

SOURCE: Panasonic TH-42PX60U plasma TV: red blinking light

are you using a PC to feed a signal or maybe a cable with an adapter?
I had the same issue when I used one of the rear HDMI ports to show a PC display. Apparently there is a software difference between the rear and side/front ports. Inputting the PC through the side HDMI port has solved the problem for me (so far!)

SOURCE: How can I connect Panasonic TH-37PX60U Flat panel

It will depend on your video output options on the computer. If you have HDMI output, just use an HDMI cable and an audio cable (this will need to be a 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable). If you have a DVI output, use a DVI to HDMI cable and the audio cable (or a DVI to HDMI adapter and either a DVI or HDMI cable depending on which side you want to put the adapter). If you only have VGA out from the computer, use a VGA to DVI adapter and the DVI to HDMI connection and the audio connection. (Theoretically this should work but each adapter will have some signal loss issues.)

Some graphics cards have a video output, S-video or Component video, which would also connect to your TV with the audio cable. (Read your cards manual for more information)

I hope this helps.

(For DVI to HDMI cables, you will need to check if you have a single link or dual link DVI output. The wrong cable may not work.)

On my Panasonic 60" plasma model no tcp60s60 there is about a 5" internal crack n I get seven blinking red lights. Will this TV ever turn on again?

No, once the screen is cracked it's not worth it to try and fix. It will end up costing more than a newer TV with better technology.

Hi, My Pioneer PDP 506XDE made a loud cracking noise and now the top half of the screen has no picture but shows only a green film . Bottom half of display is fine

The screen has broken, probably a stress crack waiting to happen from the day the plasma panel was manufactured. It will cost less to replace the TV completely than to have a replacement 50" screen fitted. In the six years or so since your tv was manufactured the screen technology has evolved significantly, fitting a new panel may not even be possible without other major component changes.

The new tv will have a new warranty, but just fitting a new screen will typically get you a maximum 90 day warranty.

The screen is cracked. both inner and outer ,maybe just the inner. It also makes a buzzing sound when turned on.this could be from the screen? I would like to no the price to fix the screen.

unfortunately there is no price to repair the issue you have. broken display on a plasma pretty much means the end of the tv. to take on that repair would generally exceed the value of the tv, plus when a plasma cracks like that there is always more internal damage to the panel itself. you're better off parting out the boards indivdually for money as they are most likely fully functional.

Where can I sell a pioneer pdp 5070pu plasma tv for parts?

HI, the best way to do this is to disassemble the set and post all the individual internal parts like the power board and main PCB logic and v boards, on line on a e-bay type of sale forum. this way, you can make more money. if you post the entire plasma screen with the crack as is, you will not get many hits. is will be assumed that it is damage goods.

Breaking this set down and, posting the internal circuitry piece by piece will make you more money in this case. The power supply board will sale for at least 289.00. and the main logic(PCB) will sale for 300 to 350. i would go this route to maximizes your gain.

50 " Samsung Plasma TV

Get the tech supplier to tell to the manufacture and the store what he told you.

Physical damage on any electronic device is very hard to have serviced under warranty. I have never seen a plasma display crack on its own. But, anything can happen.

I once saw a man drop a newly bought plasma TV in a parking lot outside from where he bought it and the screen broke. He never even made it home from the store!

Maybe you should contact a lawyer or someone who can give you legal advice about how to proceed with this. In different countries and different states the consumer protection laws are different.

You have a cracked panel and the gasses inside have escaped. The buzzing noize you are hearing the the current flowing throught the panel. It will be cheaper buying a new TV than buying a replacement panel. But if u wanna check out the price look up your model on parts.com

Panasonic th-50px60u

If the glass that you can feel on the front of the tv is cracked, then just replace the glass (called filter). The cost is about 150.00. If the pannel is cracked buy a new tv. It costs to much.
