I have a Kitchenaid combo unit of Oven & Microwave. Model YKEMC308KM01, Serial # XP4603281.Can someone help me as to how to change the light bulb of the microwave. I simply dont see any openings on the ceiling of the microwave that I can remove to change the bulb.

You will need to remove the cabinet to change the bulb, the part number is 4359741, now the bulb is part of the base so the part number is the correct part for this model. Good luck

To replace the light bulb first remove the screws located on the vent grill at the top of the microwave, tilt the grill back and then pull away to remove. After this open the light cover , you have to remove the screws so that you can discard the old light bulb and then replace it with a new one. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi, concerning your microwave. The wrap around case on this unit has to be removed to get to the light bulb. Be sure the microw. is unplugged. Hope this helps.

Accessing the internal light bulb on model KBMC140HSS bulb will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

The oven will need to come down from the wall so the outer cover can be taken off. Then you'll see the light socket(s).

It's recommend due to the weight and awkwardness of the oven that two people do this job.

This uses a fairly common halogen bulb, but I'm not sure of the wattage. It should be marked on the bulb or on a tag near the reflector.
