We have Di3510 copier in our office and we want to use as a network Scanner but I have no idea on how to install. please I need Help.

It is a black and white copier/printer for general office printing

Because after so many copies it needs to be replaced along with cleaning blade and the developer.

you need to install colour network scangear. Its available in the driver cd or you can download it from canon's site. Install the driver. select scangear tool from programs. put the printer in scanner mode then click search. the scanner and ip address will be listed.click it and then click select. then exit from the window. Color network scangear is available for windows only. Now for scanning you need

(i) windows word 2007

insert>picture>from scanner/camera and you will get scanning window.

(ii)in earlier version of ms office
there will be office document scanning tool
select scanner
you will get scanner window

(iii) photoshop

file> import
you will have to select scanner
then you will get the window for scanning.

(iv) word 2008
clip manager> insert clip
select custom insert
you will get scanner window

Read the Manual (comes with Tool). If you don't have the Tool download it from the Canon site. Go to the copier and press the System/Options button next to Copy/Mailbox/Fax. Press Online. Then try scanning. Go back to copier and press Offline so can photocopy again.

Hi, im a Canon certified tech support engineer, if you have got the correct driver for the copier the problem is based on the version of your office software. as for some vista compatible devices (yet to come) some copiers will not properly operate with this new software versions (including some office) until proper drivers and updates are released. sorry for the inconvinience.

it is supposed to use a separate scanning board (Interface Board-D1) with SCSI connectivity and TWAIN software.

The only real problem would be finding the software driver for your machine.When your driver for your scan function is loaded it will assign an IP address for the scanner.without the software,your out of luck.I'll look online tonight for it and let you know if I find it.
