Hello pup...... In the future, don't wind the bobbin so fast. The reason it gets stuck is because the thread is so tight on the bobbin it actually makes the bobbin a tiny bit smaller, making it hard to get off again. If you dont wind it so fast, it doesn't get so tight. Remove a few yards of thread from the bobbin and it will release from the winder peg. Joe

Can I get pre wound bobbins for the Pacesetter PS 1250?

The Brother Pacesetter PS1250 uses Type L bobbins. Pre-wound type L bobbins are available for embroidery and quilting. One source is https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/pre-wound-bobbins.aspx?filter.bobbinclass=L%20Style&sort.ss_cat_sort=desc&index=1 .

I hope this helps.

Bobbin is not feeding properly- didn't wind on evenly.

It is important that the bobbin be wound smoothly for the machine to operate properly. First, check that you are threading the machine correctly to wind the bobbin. There is a tensioner for the bobbin winder that helps wind the bobbin smoothly so incorrect threading will cause issues. Also, try to wind your bobbin slower. There is no advantage to winding the bobbin on high speed.

If you continue to have bobbin winding issues, there is a standalone bobbin winder (SideWinder) avlb at JoAnn's or even Amazon for ~$30,. They are electric or battery operated. Be sure to verify your machine bobbins will work on the SideWinder before purchasing as some bobbins are not compatible. The bobbin winder is a handy gadget since multiple bobbins can be wound quickly, plus bobbins can be wound without having to unthread the machine, not to mention reducing the wear and tear on your sewing machine.

How do you wind the bobbin

Most bobbin winding procedures are very generic. There is a small peg on top of the machine and a lever to snap the peg against or the peg itself moves toward a stationery lever. Leave thread on machine like you would begin sewing but u thread the machine. There should be a thread holder of some kind on top to run thread through to hold tension. Wind thread a few times around bobbin and put bobbin on the peg on top of machine. Push lever toward bobbin peg or peg toward lever (whichever moves) and arrow by peg should show which direction thread will wind. Then push pedal and away you go...hope that helps.

Bobbin refuses to be wound on self-winding bobbin machine. Bobbin does not turn. The thread is winding continously on the bottom of the bobbin basket. Need help.

Just off the top of my so-called head, it sounds like something in the bobbin area is not seated correctly. However, I would recommend that you do a search on FB and Yahoo interest groups (also on PSW software); it's members are MOST helpful, and will be glad to work with you to resolve this problem.

Why is thread is making multiple loops around bobbin

are you using pre-wound bobbins? or bobbins you've wound yourself? they might be too full or over wound (too much thread) this happens with pre-wound or some you've wound yourself. Also make sure you are loading the bobbin correctly. You also might try another bobbin, as sometimes they can get warped if they are the plastic kind.

How to fill a bobbin

Hi, not familiar with this machine, but a few tips -
Unthread the machine fully. Remove the bobbin. Is the bobbin thread the same as the top thread? Is it a Quality thread (yes, cheapie thread can give big issues!!) Do you have several different threads wound onto the bobbin?? Is the bobbin thread wound on quite tight? If you push your finger nail into the thread wound onto the bobbin, it must not feel soft or spongy. .... hope this in general helps some!

I have the Brother SE270D and when I was winding the bobbin the thread somehow slipped under the bobbin and was wound around the peg under the bobbin winding area. I thought I could remove the screws and...

You can either take the machine in for repairs or, use another sewing machine (if you have one that uses the same type of bobbin) for bobbin winding or purchase a Sidewinder Bobbin Winder - search the Internet for the best price.

I have a viking Iris sewing and embroidery machine and the bobbin thread is bunching up underneath so then the thread breaks

When I had that happen, it turned out that I had not wound the bobbin thread correctly (it was not wound tight and smooth enough). Wound a new bobbin from scratch, and all worked fine.

Bobbin thread coming up through top of design

My 270D does this when I'm about to run out of bobbin. If you just replaced it I'd guess you either wound it wrong or are using the wrong type of bobbin spool. It could be too loosely or too tightly wound.
