Can't get power to the front panel even though power is showing in the wiring of the MPI 41onitor kerosene

It sounds like there may be an issue with the circuit board on your MPI monitor 41 kerosene heater. Based on your description, it appears that you've recently replaced the circuit board, but you're not able to get power to the front panel, despite power showing in the wiring.
There could be multiple reasons for this, and it is essential to investigate further. Here are some things you can check next:
  • Make sure that all connections are secure and properly connected
  • Make sure that the circuit board is the correct one for your heater model
  • Check the wiring, it could be loose or damaged
  • Check the fuses, they might have blown
  • Check the thermostat, it could be faulty or not connected properly.
If you have checked all these things and the issue persists, it's best to call for professional help as it may require specialized knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and fix the problem. It's important to note that working on heating appliances can be dangerous, and only qualified and licensed personnel should work on them.

I do not know if I will get an answer, but here it gos, my moniter heater cuts on, starts to heat up a little and then makes a small click noise and then shuts off

Remove Obstructions The overheated condition may be caused by obstructions blocking the air flow to the heater. Check: • The front of the heater • The circulation fan (on the back of the heater). • The flue pipe (outside) Step 5: Remove the Louver Remove the screws at the louver, and carefully clean.

Heat not working

Sounds like the air blend door is not opening to let heat in.

Engine coolant is provided to the heater system by two 16 mm (5/8 inch inside diameter) heater hoses. With the engine idling at normal running temperature, set the heater-A/C controls as follows. Temperature control to full Heat, Mode control to Floor, Blower control to the highest speed setting. Using a test thermometer, check the air temperature coming from the center floor outlets and compare this reading to the Temperature Reference table.

If the floor outlet air temperature is insufficient, check that the cooling system is operating to specifications. Both heater hoses should be HOT to the touch (the coolant return hose should be slightly cooler than the supply hose). If the coolant return hose is much cooler than the supply hose, locate and repair the engine coolant flow obstruction in heater system.

POSSIBLE LOCATIONS OR CAUSE OF OBSTRUCTED COOLANT FLOW
If coolant flow is verified and the heater floor outlet temperature is insufficient, a mechanical problem may exist.

POSSIBLE LOCATION OR CAUSE OF INSUFFICIENT HEAT
  • Obstructed cowl air intake.
  • Obstructed heater system outlets.
  • Blend-air door not functioning properly.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
If heater floor outlet temperature cannot be adjusted with the heater-A/C control temperature control lever, one of the following could require service:

I have a Rheem Heat and air unit. Model # RGAC-080AW Serial # CM3D104 F4782 4794 and need to find out where the filter for the unit is located.

What filter are you talking about?
Air filter: Usually with a heat and air unit, the air filter is located behind the return air grill.
Return air grill looks similar to ordinary ceiling or floor grill where the hot or cold air blows into each room. Except the return air grill is larger and is usually put close to the heat-air unit.
Remove the grill and replace filter every 3-6 months.
If no filter is present, then dust and hair get stuck on the coils and unit will not meet temperature setting.
See image of typical air filter:

How many sq feet will a 41 model heat?

It all depends on how well your house is insulated. A Monitor 41 has the same output rating as a Monitor 2400. It should heat around 2000 sq. ft.

Monitor Heater 41

Our monitor heater was reading E-01. We decided that we would try cleaning the back of the unit and we landed up cleaning all parts of the unit that were visible. We plugged it back in and it works fine again. Thank you for your time.
