Problem in scanner when scan

I have a ricoh aficio 2018d all in one printer. i install driver of this, printer and copier work properly but scanner not working when i scan the error show '36851 No respons from scanner.'

    i am using Ricoh C2030 and using Microsoft Clip Organizer for scan, when and trying to scan it show "36851 no response from scanner" but when im using DeskTopBinder that has no problem. most of my colleagues using Clip organizer and it run perfectly

Try adding the scanner's IP address in the scnhosts file in the TWAIN folder. Format is similar to the windows hosts file. You'll see a commented out sample entry, just modify that to suit your needs.

This may or may not work for you; we had it working under this configuration but then it stopped for no apparent reason. also note that scanrouter isn't supported under vista. Only advice I've been given so far is to revert to sending scans via SMTP - not ideal!

We have a network ricoh aficio mp 1600 pcl printer we recently upgraded to windows 7 printer and copier are working ok but scanner is not working is there a problem with the scanner driver for windows 7
please go to www.ricoh.com and instal the scanner drivers of windows-7 other wise you can instal the scan to folder which dos not required any drivers or you can install scan to mail this also does not required any drivers - thanks

No, all the newer machines have imbedded scanning. The scanrouter software was an old product and only supported through 2k3 server. I would setup an old PC with the scanrouter and whatever platform you were running before and use it just for scanning. You can install it as a service so it will run on its own.

Installing Printer/scanner kit to Ricoh Aficio 2015
the main part of the kit is a dimm card. the dimm has the fax/scan/print stored on it. the problem adding this to your machine is drivers, only twain scanning, no scan to folerd, no internet faxing, no winodws 7 drivers. if you get a whole kit you need to add the fax pcb and also get the nic for it to scan properly. good luck

Dont know how to configure scanner on Ricoh Africo 2018d. It is set up as a network printer atm
There are a few ways, such as configuring "SMB", "Scan to "Email" and/or installing "Scanrouter", but they are too involved to explain here.
The other is the "Network Twain Scanner" which, once installed, you can use a program such as "photoshop" , or many other photo editing softwares to scan. Simply open the program, click "file", "Import" and you should see the scanner as an option, make your settings, and go.
You can get the software here. Just select your operating system. It will need to be installed on each PC:

I am having trouble scanning a document on the Ricoh Aficio 2018D, I also cannot locate the user manual, can you please advise how to scan on this machine?
If the scanner has not been configured, or network settings have changed, the setup for scanning on this unit is unfortunately quite difficult for a novice. the manuals are readily available at Ricoh.com, under Downloads, but this will not help very much with the scanner config.
