How to clear the jam depends on where the jam is.
If the Jam is in Tray 1:
1. If you can see the jammed sheet, remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
2. If you cannot see the jammed sheet, open the tray 1 door and pull out tray 2.
3. Push down on two tabs to release the tray 1 panel.
4. Remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
5. Push up on two tabs to replace the tray 1 panel.
6. Replace tray 2.
If the Jam is in Tray 2:
1. Pull out tray 2 and place it on a flat surface.
2. Remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
3. Replace tray 2.
4. Press OK to continue printing.
If the Jam is in the Fuser area:
1. Open the rear door.
2. Remove any jammed sheets.
3. Close the rear door.
If the Jam is in the Output Bin:
1. Look for jammed paper in the output bin area.
2. Remove any visible media
3. Open and then close the rear door to clear the message.
It is possible that the paper may tear when clearing the jam. Be sure to clear any paper fragments that tear off.

SOURCE: paper jam
I have an HP 5510 All in one, and mine did the same thing. There was a plastic fingerlike thing that had hung up just to the right of the printhead, preventing it from moving. I removed the cartridge and managed to get the part unstuck with a screwdriver.

The Lexmark Printer you are having a very sensitive printer.
Normally this tyoe of Printers are very very slow in Printing job.
Comparing with other laserjet used.
If the Laptop / Printer are under warranrty, the Service engineer
can rectifity the printer jamming.
Make the Printer - Monthly service compulsory.
Use only good quality paper in the Lexmark Printer.
Do not pull the paper through hand, when the print out is coming.

There are pieces of paper stock on the sensor, when the paper jam happened then you pull out the paper did you get the whole page of the paper or have missing pieces? open the paper guide, turn off and on the printer and observe the unusual objects in the roller, this error is caused by objects in the sensor.
