I don't have software for it and just hooked it up. What drivers for Windows XP?

Have you already installed the printer driver to your computer? This is one of the first things you should do when installing the printer aside from hooking it up to your PC. If you don't have the driver don't worry because you may download it by clicking on this link. Then follow the steps below:

1. Select your operating system (ex. Windows XP) then hit on Next.

2. Afterwards select Driver Product Installation Software.

3. Then hit on Download.

4. Once driver is downloaded, install it .

5. Lastly, restart your computer.

Your Windows XP is not activated. This means you must find your original Windows XP disc, and the sleeve that the disc comes in should have the product key on the back.
Type in this product key to activate Windows.

Firstly Insert The Printer's Driver Software Disk In The Computer And Completely Uninstall The Printer Driver Software. Don't Remove It From Control Panel.

Wait 2 minutes.

Hook up monitor, mouse, keyboard, internet connection and power cable and then restart your computer.

It works fine on XP, I am using it with XP SP3 currently. You should download the current driver from Minolta. Install the software before hooking up the scanner. I prefer to remove any existing drivers and re-boot before installing new drivers.

I don't know if you are using a cd from HP whith the windows xp software on it, because I done something like that before and didn't work, you have to find a cd from hp with windows hp software intallation on it otherwise you will have problems, after the installation you can search for the update drivers from hp.com.
