What is your source and cable? You need an Category 2 HDMI cable and a source that is providing 1080p signals (some Blu-ray players). A device connected to any of the 4 HDMI ports may be able to provide 1080p to the TV. Conventional HDMI/DVI cables may not be capable of carrying a 1080p signal.
Next you need to set the TV for native mode. This can be set with the Pic Size button on the remote or [Menu button] > Video > Theater Settings > Picture Size in the onscreen menus. Under Setup, there are two settigs you can adjust in the HDMI Settings submenu. One improves the audio/video sync (called LipSync Latency) and the other improves the color bits available (called Deep color).
Always turn on the TV first and then the external device providing the signal to make sure the TV properly interprets the signal.
I hope this helps.

(full high definition OTA signal is 1080i; this is also the limit for many older DVD players. For cable/satellite set top boxes, check the specs)
