I have a windows media center edition 2005 edition pc that had a new hdd installed and OS, programs, drivers, etc loaded up. Its an HP m7674n desk top. The issue is that I'm still missing one driver - ACPI\awy0001\2&DABA3ff&0 (yellow question mark in device mgr - unknown device). After researching this extensively, it looks like it might be for the infrared remote control or perhaps the Intel quick resume technology related to the viiv stuff. The computer has an Intel cpu & Asus motherboard. I've downloaded just about every driver I can think of from the hp & asus websites, including the asus acpi driver to no avail. What is the device in question and where can I download the right driver?

I got this scanner about a year ago as I needed something to scan stuff in a high quality for college which also works quick and fits in my locker. Recently I had to get myself a new laptop and only ones with win8 were available. Since then I am not able to use the scanner with my laptop anymore and drivers for win8 don't show up on the official website. Does that mean that I can't use this scanner anymore?

I have a hp rc6 remote control but it is not working with my elitebook 8440p i want driver ... please tell me how can i get its driver from internet ?

did you get the RC6 with the PC new or are you attempting to add it. ?
HP MEDIA Center rc6 remote,
control,

way post and not say OS,?" is this XP, VISTA or W7?
???????????????????????????????????????
and did you ever upgrade the OS or replace the HDD.?
all history matters. we can't see what you have !
so..... tell it. please.
there are 6 drivers is way,,, ( or just 2) 1 for XP and 1 for vista /w7

try a new battery? in it, be like first. think.always.
the drivers are NOT on the internet they are at HP,
its 100% custom HP hardware here.!!!
you are not asking at HP, why? this is fixya , has zero to do with HP ever. ever go to hp support forum and ask. be wise no?

HP real
https://support.hp.com/us-en

now all your drivers for that PC.
one post says
Try installing the "ENE CIR driver" on the link below.
the hp support page has no driver there, for this feature.
its an error that. or Im on the wrong page.(easy lacking full service tag data)
HP puts most of these drivers under
Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices
SP41705.exe supports below (note the secret FTP links)
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp41501-42000/sp41705.exe
Windows 7 (32-bit)
Windows 7 (64-bit)
Windows Vista (32-bit)
Windows Vista (64-bit)
MY wild guess is this PC is a media center edition?????
there is no MCE, page at HP for this exact PC, only generic.
and no such file listed there. thus HP, FTP links to lost files.

endless hits on this missing RC6 driver, here.
mostly do to owners changing the OS and not loading the HP drivers off your HP driver page.

Have a 2005 a1250n Hp computer with Hp ver XP SP3 OS installed. MOBO failed. Can it be replaced by same p/n 5188 1936 using current all ready loaded XP OS. Will GUID be a problem?

If you can get the exact mobo you may replace it. No driver issue will raise. You can also buy a new mobo with same chipset and replace it. Same chipset mobo will require to install Sound, ethernet and vga drivers

I am computer start them os very long time booting.

Use Tuneup Utlity Software to clear unwanted files on the c drive.
u can use this to also remove unwanted programs, registry entries, etc. this will definitely speed up your system. also check if a lot of programs load at os start up. you can also remove unwanted programs loading during startup.

My windows media center 2005, can't install media?

if you have the OS installed then that tells me you need the sound card drivers. Go to this page:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=2684&l=en&s=pub&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8400&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Choose your operating system, then go underneath where it says audio and choose the one that says driver.

Download it and then install it and you should have sound then.

What is the Dell model name?

Did you put in and install the drivers from the drivers CD that comes with the PC? The drivers are on a separate CD from Windows and need to be installed separately after Windows is finished.

If you've gone through the driver installs, including the graphics driver, and you still get the message, post back and I'll help you find the right driver.

Hope this helps!

Hp dv6000

There is option in BIOS called something about automated SATA recognition or similar - disable it. It is under System configuration. And if you are putting new drive in then run full test from BIOS (Hard drive selftest - takes about 79min.)
I tried to reinstall Windows Media center on my HP dv6000 because my previous hdd crashed - When I put in installation cd - it said that it can't find hdd. I spent week to figuring that out. The thing is - as far as you haven't disabled that SATA thing in BIOS - PC doesn't recognize hdd. But only with Windows media center edition. With all other windows xp - there is no such problems. Strange.

Many issues few solutions

Sounds like you have a real mess there that you can lose a lot of time trying to solve. I'd suggest saving all your files to another drive, and then reinstall the OS and only allow the system to update through the Windows update manager/web site, which should be able to match up the right update files. Do all this patching of the OS without installing any other hardware devices to keep it clear where things go wrong. Once the OS is patched completely, install new hardware and patch it separately watching for the tell-tale incompatibilities with XP/MCE2005. Especially watch for legacy devices that might not have modern drivers.

Hope this helps - good luck...
