For the premium price of Bose systems, it is abhorrent that they still use the cheapest, poorly made RCA jacks!! Other brands might use cheap jacks also, but at least I've never had shorting-out problems with those like I have with Bose RCA speaker jacks. [My speaker systems remain set-up in one position FOREVER, without any moving or hazards like kids, pets, or dumb adults messing with the wires.]
I have a bose companion 3 series ii my base speaker has an broken audio input that i'm trying to fix. The plastic around the input jack is broke, can anyone help me as to where I can get the part or where to get it fixed?
Yes you can fix it but need a soldering iron and tin and the part that will change. Get everything in radio shack or similar store. If you don't now how solderin go to this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm28jkKGMz4
