I would recommend you to back all your work up, then with the use of the restore cds, re-build your laptop. Then see if you get the same problem. If you do, then you need to send the laptop back

I believe I had the same problem at one time. Just by memory---I think I had to disconnect whole printer from power source--let sit about 10 minutes and then when I started back up---it took forever to reset, but then worked.

If that doens't do it, try to read the troubleshooting in the manual or do more research via online. But I believe I figured that out via the printer website under troubleshooting or FAQ.
