After moving my ultimate care II washer it is horribly out of balance. I cannot correct with the levelers. the tub seems too loose and I cannot determine how to look at the tub stabilizers. Do you have to take off the top or back to gain access. It is a Whirlpool model LSQ9549LW1. Thanks for any suggestions... Norman

SOURCE: How to take the top off Ultimate Care II

2 screws behind control to loosen control panel. when out panel will hinge back and you should see 2 clips that will pop off with a screwdriver and harness for lid switch. whole cabinet will then come off iff you pull it forward

SOURCE: whirlpool ultimate care II top load skips agitation turns

I have the same problem, and i think it is a problem with the agitator i pulled mine off, (remove softener insert below that is a seal easily removed and then a 7/16'' bolt) seems a 'clutch' mechanism between base and upper agitators is shot.

My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Washer doesn't stop filling with water

If this only happens when the machine is turned on,the tube from the tub to the water level switch is pinched or broken. If the clear plastic tube is not pinched or broken, the water level switch in the control console is bad. If the machine lets water through when it is in the OFF position, the water valve where the hoses connect are bad.

Washer tub seems to be continually out of balance

You may have to turn your washing machine upside down and check the balance bolts and springs, to make sure that they are snug or secure.

My Whirlpool washer Ultimate Care II spins out of controle

Hi Geny, I can relate to your problem. Same thing happened to me. The morons who installed my washer didn't give a hoot about making sure it's properly balanced. I learned the hard way and figured it out myself. Balancing is very simple. Make sure the floor isn't slippery. Then check the nuts on the front feet that they're tightened while checking they're both evenly in height. They're adjustable. Third, lift the rear of the machine up about 4" from the floor and lower it so the rear feet can automatically set themselves. Also, a leveler can help. THis should take care of basic balance problems. Good luck!
