My nokia e52 switches off auto. Some times within 10 min some times after 12 hours. Even in offline mode. Sometimes the phone switches off after the keypad starts blinking for dew seconds. seems there is some problem with the firmware. use nokia software updater and reinstall your symbian phone. everything will be fine

Press the power button (On the top of the phone) just once and you will get options to Switch Off , Change the profile etc. In that you will get the Online mode. Hope this helps. Good Luck ~SmokinJoe~

It stays offline if the card is not allowed by your service provider or it is not contacted well.

You can try to clean the metal pins, if it causes a contact problem.

OFFLINE mode is just like a profile, try to select a different profile from settings.

To switch OFFLINE mode on/off:

1. Press Menu (left soft key)
2. Highlight Ctrl. panel and Open (Navigation key)
3. Highlight Profiles and Open (Navigation key)
4. Select a Profile of your choice and then press in Navigation key

Alternatively,

1. Press the on/off button quickly and the list of Profiles will be shown
2. Select a Profile of your choice (Navigation key)

Offline mode is usually caused because the SIM card is not accepted by service provider or SIM card has bad metal contact.

go to settings, and profiles...

then change it to general mode, or loud mode.
