It's possible that the battery has failed. Before you contact the manufacturer for warranty replacement I'd suggest you try the Mix Max Recovery Tool first to see if that will make a difference. You can find that at the following address.

http://digiblue.com/customer-service/faqs/disney/mixmax/14.html

Just click on the link that says Download the instructions for your latest firmware update here and follow the instructions. Keep in mind that when you get to the point where the Recovery tool tells you to press the + while connecting you need to make sure that the player is turned off and press and hold the volume up button on the player when connecting it to the computer. If this doesn't work then contact them.

How do i download music on my mp3 player?

How to Put Songs on Disney Mix Max

The Disney Mix Max portable media player is capable of playing audio files in the MP3 format. It can also play videos formatted as WMV and display photos formatted as JPEG. You can convert audio files into MP3 using the Disney Mix Max software -- Mix It Plug-in. The plug-in works with Windows Media Player 10. This software CD came with the player and is not available online. To download music to the device, you can use Windows Media Player 10 or Windows.

Things You'll Need:

* USB cable
* Mix It Plug-In installation CD

Instructions

Convert Non-MP3 Files

Install Mix It Plug-In. Insert the Mix It Plug-in installation CD into the computer's optical drive. Click "Install Mix It Plug-In" when prompted. If no screen opens, double-click on the "My Computer" icon. Double-click on the installation CD icon. Then double-click on the setup or installation file; this file is often formatted as EXE. Select to have the program saved to your desktop. Then double-click on the desktop icon -- "disneymixitplugin" to open the setup wizard. Click "Next" in the setup screen. Follow any additional setup prompts.

Open Windows Media Player 10 and create a playlist. To create a playlist, click "Library" and select "Now Playing." Drag songs from your computer to the "Now Playlist List" pane. Click the "Now Playing List" title to open the menu and select "Save Playlist As." In the "Save As" dialog box, enter a name for the playlist and select "Save."

Open Mix It Plug-In. Select "Yes" when asked to save analysis information for your music files. The software will analyze each track's compatibility with the Disney Mix Max player.

Press "Go!" to start the conversion process. Once the process is complete, an inactive "Go!" will be displayed. All music that has been converted is still listed in your Windows Media Player 10 playlist. You are now ready to download music to the player using Windows Media Player.

Windows Media Player 10

Open Windows Media Player 10 on your computer.

Remove the USB jack cover located on the bottom of the Disney Mix Max. Insert the compatible end of the USB cable into the USB port on the Disney Mix Max. Insert the other end of the cable into the computer's USB port.

Click "Library" and click a playlist name. To create a playlist, click "Library" and select "Now Playing." Drag songs from your computer to the "Now Playlist List" pane. Click the "Now Playing List" title to open the menu and select "Save Playlist As." In the "Save As" dialog box, enter a name for the playlist and select "Save."

Select the "Sync List" tab and choose "Sync List" from the menu.
.
Verify the items to be synced to the Mix Max, or right-click on a song title and select "Delete" to remove it. Click "Start Sync" to download music to the Mix Max.

Windows

Insert the USB cable to the Disney Mix Max USB jack. Connect the player to the computer with the USB cable.

Click on the desktop "Start" menu and choose "My Computer."

Double-click on the "Removable Disk" that corresponds with your connected device.

Drag songs saved on your computer with your mouse into the Removable Disk folder.

I just bought one for my daughter, I can get Videos to work , from the Sync , window media player 10 software , but any time i try to stick in a Sd card , Even a NEW one. It just continuously flashs DO...

Your sd card is to big go down to a 2gb card on the 512mb mix max. Only the mix max plus will support 4gb cards. Also I could never get windows to support files so i used pocket dvd wizard to convert it is 15 bucks well spent and you can convert with the card in the device and save it to windows media to drag and drop in the future.

I lost my disney mix max charger

There are several types of chargers you can use with the mix max....car charger, wall charger, USB to computer (FYI turn your computer off while charging and it stops), and my favorite - the speaker station. Just do a search for disney mix max charger on the internet, amazon, or ebay and several options will come up. I like the speaker station because it is easy to charge with it and lets my daughter use it as a stereo and dance unit if she wants.

Disney mix max

Try pressing the reset button with a thumb tack or paper clip. That will turn the player off and then you should be able to move the hold switch to the off position and turn the player on normally.

Disney Mix max

Yep you sure can. Depending on the version of Windows Media Player that you have it's pretty easy to rip the CD and then sync it to your Mix Max. I recommend using Windows Media Player 11 as it's the easiest so I'd recommend you install that first. Then insert your CD into your computer, open Windows Media Player and click on the "Rip" button at the top. Select the tracks on the CD that you want to add to the player and click "Start Rip." Once the tracks have completed ripping click on the "Sync" button at the top right of Windows Media Player. Then just drag the tracks from the library on the left to the sync list on the right and click "Start Sync."

Disney mix max installation with Vista

You don't need the software, it's optional. You can still connect the player and sync audio to it with the sync page in Windows Media Player 11.
