Wrong sensor. that sensor is for the E2 error. I know, I had both.
Condensation sensor was tripped...needs to be dried/cleaned/repaired (on lint screen side remove plastic panel. The sensor is clipped to radiator fins.
Be Safe or don't do it....
On the side with the lint screen, remove the five screws holding the top
panel in place. The sensor that needs to be checked in mounted on the
radiator fins. Remove the sensor and 4 pin connector. With a pin,
remove the loose fitting housing the "sensor"...a circuit board that
"shorts" with condensation...check corrosion and look for component
damage on the oft chance the circuit board was damaged by some
inappropriate poking or mechanical failure. Reassemble and replace
sensor...
For a short life span...or out of warranty and only at your risk (IF
have significant other or kids or pets or human DNA... don't do this...)
.. guide wire through screen notch and attach to outer screen. Build
fortress around exposed sensor and talk to insurance agent for a special
rider...seriously be careful.
Did you? Clean screen and GENTLY clean fins of lint, etc....(vacuum's brush head should do the trick...)
Taking all appropriate safety precautions.
...
Here's the 100,000 (yen) tip....with humidifier unplugged, hold down the
power button (green button in lower center) and plug in the appliance.
Watch the LCD screen as it conducts a self test...and wha...lah!.
use the plug jumpstart method this :fortress" idea will do nothing but cause you e1 2 and 3 errors and youll never find the replacement. this guy doesnt even make any sense. the computer needs a reading to function, the only way to bypass the sensor is to bypass the computer. do the plug in method mentioned above. just keep your hand at the plug and pull it out and back in barely making contact until it jumps on and the computer will be bypassed. I did it and mine works fine now .

IS THERE A WAY TO JUMP THIS SENSOR TO ASSURE THAT IT IS DEFECTIVE?
there is a way to bypass the sensor with no work at all but you will have to operate it manually or build a humidistat yourself to cut the power and give it a break. hold the power button and plug it in and hold the plug at the outlet over and over very fast keep pulling it out and in until the unit jumpstarts on. now you can use the power button to turn it on and off and the humidity button (not mode) to turn on the condenser. good luck.
