Anytime the main light flashes 10 times and the door reverses to the open position it is a door sensor problem. Make sure the small light on each sensor is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a bit. Check the wiring for breaks or shorts. Nothing else will cause this problem.

Lift master formula I will not close, only goes half way down, but fully opens. Worked fine until my wife closed the door on the car, after that it would fully close

I had this problem as well with the door opening just fine but was not closing when using the remotes or when breifly pressing the wall mounted control. The door would close only when using the wired wall mount control. I have experienced this problem with other garage door openers I've had in my previous homes and it was always caused by sensors at the bottom of the door tracks being either misaligned or the lenses were dirty. In this case, and it was just a moment ago today, I simply cleaned the sensor lenses and then the door began to function properly. Give it a try.

My Lift Master Formula 1 is not closing all the time. It will close about 1~2 feet the reverse and reopen. This happens using the remote and the manual button. Also, after it reopens the light blinks...

I recommend this to everyone with garage door opener problems:

Use the pull cord and disconnect the opener from the door. Operate the opener and let the carrier slide back away from the door. Is the carrier moving smoothly when disconnected? Next, lift the door by hand from the bottom to the top. Is it moving smoothly? If not, lubricate the hubs of all the rollers on both sides of the door. Check the cable pulleys at the top sides of the door channel, lubricate them as well. Are all cables in all the pulleys, there are 4.

My fixed garage door opener opens fine, but only closes if it is held down. My remote garage door openers do not work at all. I replaced the sensors and they appear to work fine. I tried to reprogram the...

If the sensor is working right, that leaves the downward force sensor tripping. First check for track obstrucions by manually moving the door with the lift disengaged. If door works without excessive force, then increase the force sensor of the lift a bit.

Lift-master 2000SDR remotes will open but not close garage door. Same problem with all clickers and even those programmed into the cars. What could this be and better yet, how do I fix it?

Lift-Master 2000SDR opener. Opener generally works fine from the remotes. However, first time in the morning in cooler weather, it will start to close and the reverse and the lights blink. I have checked the senors - appear to be aligned properly. I have lubed the gear and used garage door spray on the rollers and hinges at the proper places. To close the door when this happens, I have to hold the wall button.

Liftmaster "Pro Line" Garage Door Won't Close-1999-#41A5021-C

If the main lights flash 10 times when the door reverses it is a problem with the door sensors or the wiring to them. Each sensor has a small light that must be lit and not blinking for them to work properly. Make sure each of them is on. If the sensors have been bumped you can tweak them a bit to get them pointed correctly. If you can't get both sensors to light then you either have bad sensors or once again the wiring is bad. I really wonder about the wiring because of the mouse problem. Also the wires are color coded. One of the is solid white and the other is white with black stripe. They can't be crossed.

Garage Door won't close

It sounds like the door sensors have been bumped or somehow gotten misaligned. Tweak them until the light on each one is lit and not blinking. They must be pointed at one another.
