How to register idm when the serial number is fake

It's EXACTLY as it says.

The serial number you used is either fake or blacklisted.

If you had purchased this software, You must contact the vendor to inform them that the serial number you have been provided has been blacklisted for some reason. If it was directly from the IDM website, click here.

Most likely, you would be provided with a new serial number to RE-register the software with.

If you acquired this software or the serial number from unknown/nefarious sources, you'll just have to uninstall it & use some other download manager.

idm uses online registration technique so there is no way yiu can register it with fake serial no.
a good alternative would be to use free download manager which is free and serves same purpose

3. Then go to the directory C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc and locate the file 'hosts'
4. Open the "hosts" file with "notepad".
