The manual will tell you the significance of the blinking orange light. Usually it tells you something is wrong - look at troubleshooting section of manual.
It sounds to me like the label size is wrong, or more likely that the page size is wrong. Check the label settings. Make sure it doesn't have something like a separator page or maybe needs another label page behind it.
both light are blinking at the same time or blinking alternatively ? if both blinking same time, it's a fatal error.. means it could be something wrong with the carriage or board or encoder belt... if the light blink alternatively, it means the waste ink counter need to be reset and ink pad need to be replaced.

Two blinks just says you need paper, If paper is not going through, you will need repairs to the print engine. If the orange light is also blinking you need to count the blinks to know what's wrong.
On the Sharp copiers when the "ch" is blinking means that the toner cartridge is not in or it may be the wrong cartridge. Some sharp cartridges look alike and will fit into the machine but are the wrong one.
hi, the blinking is caused by a fault in the printer, means it needs to be serviced, its usually more expensive for them to fix it than buying a new one, but you can get there number off the canon website.
