Deleting unwanted files with a JVC Everio MG130 Camera

How do you delete unwanted PC media files stored from a JVC Everio MG130 Camera? I need to free up some room as I have a number of video shots I would like to delete off my PC hard drive.

I also have not been able to delete the files from my computer. I have used up a lot of memory and want to free it up since I have burned the movies on to disks. Please advise.

Yep, got the same problem. I can't delete files off the camera from my PC. Can anyone help? For me, the only solution seems to delete all files from the camcorder itself, and that'll take a long time, I guess?

Answer:what you do is you press the play/record button on the left side of the camcorder when it is open to get to the videos. then you use the laser touch operation to scroll to the video you want to delete. then, right under the screen there should be 5 buttons. the one to the left of the menu button has a picture of a garbage can looking thing above it. just press that and then press yes when it asks you if your sure.

My 2 year old got ahold of my JVC Everio & deleted all the files.

OK generally the files aren't actually physically deleted... The software simply makes it so it can;t be found... usually simply by putting a $, or # sign in place of the first letter. So find yaself a freeware data recovery software and try ya luck... is a URL to get ya started..

Unwanted movies

Dear JS,

Why should anyone have a problem deleting files & folders from the PC? The Jvc video files on your hard drive are just that.

There are 2 ways of deleting these video files. One, thru the Cyberlink PowerCinema. Just open the programme, select Back Up folder, then select the files (Tick each) and click Delete on the left menu. Two, direct delete from the Hard Disk. Go to e-drive, open MyWorks, go to videos, highlight the video files, click the Del Button on your keyboard, say 'yes'. End of the session, just open the Recycle Bin and empty it up.

I hope this solves your problem. However, if it is that you need to delete the files in your camera, there are options in its menu as well.

JVC GZ-MG275AA Everio Camcorder

Problem solved. I was thinking I could delete from the PowerCinema NE for Everio software program that comes with the camera but that is not the case, so it was just a matter of finding where all the video files were stored on the computer itself, ie, "myworks, Everio backup", and delete from there.

Trensferring Files to PC

Hello,

The codec needed to extract audio is not present in your computer. Maybe you need to install all the application program from the CD/DVD enclosed in your Camera. Or you can use other player other than windows media player.

I recommend you to download the player that content multi codecs, the link is here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm

may this solve your problem.
