It sounds to me that the pump or pipe is blocked, first check the pipe for any blockage if that is clean remove pump, open it (useually 3 screws) and clean that, if it is clean then your impeller is worn and needs to be replaced. Make sure the pump is running by actually, when pump are open start the machine and check if pump is running, if not check if all electrical wires are connected, also make sure that the opening that feeds the pump in the drum is clean as well

Have old kenmore elite he3 washer. Have wet laundry after spin out. Have checked ball be low drum, replaced strainer, pump motor, cleaned all hoses. Did a test run in the drain and spin cycle. For like 7...

If the washer is taking more water during spin, then most likely it is thinking the water level is low for the load. It is a smart washer and tries to adjust water according to load. This can mean the level sensor is giving wrong sensor. I would try to run the washer with a cleaning agent (not bleach) available from specialist stores or washing machine retailers.
Also observe if the drain pump is running all through the spin cycle. If not that is likely causing water to remain. But controller is thinking there is no water and not starting the pump when required.

You should be able to locate the parts in these diagrams.

Ge washing machine fills up with water on spin cycle

Sounds like the timer is screwed... Sending out the wrong signals and the dryer is doing the rinse cycle when it should just be the spin cycle. Do t know what your timer looks like in that washer but most now days look like the picture. 11_11_2013_2_52_52_am.png

My kenmore won't pump out the water. what could

couple of possible reasons and this will vary by brand of machine...lid switch could be bad...some machines will wash or agitate with lid up but will not spin unless lid is closed..others will not do nothing with lid up....some brands will not spin if the water level switch can detect water in the tub...this means your machine didnt pump the water out of the machine so it could spin couple of reasons for this 1 bad pump or bad pump motor(some machines have a pump that is driven by a drifferent motor than the one that drives the transmission)usually these machines use the water level switch to activate(turn on/off) the pump when the machine goes into spin cycle... some machines the pump wil come on and stay on for the entire spin cycle...some machines the belt will be bad and you just need a new belt....first thing to do is see if raising the lid will turn the machine off when it is in wash cycle if it does not..then it will in spin cycle..if the machine will not work in spin cycle the lid switch will be the reason why..

Washing not spinning water out of clothes

Must be something in the pump obstructing the water flow.
