By the time the printed copy decides to exit the printer, the new paper copy is only half printed, or wosre. It would seem the "master document that I am trying to print out again seems to be out of sync with each other. No paper jams at all. Just out of sync. I only watch the top copy enter the printer. It seems to be "late in being scanned if that makes any sense at all. Thanks Jon.

SOURCE: No ink

hi i am a certified Canon repair tech for this fax. the problem that you are having is very common and has to do with two things. the cartridge and the purge/cleaning unit. what you can try is this open the printer and center the carridge unit and remove the cartridge. unplug the machine while it is still centered. on the right hand side you will see the purge unit. in the center of the purge unit is what looks like a retanglar pad. mix a water soap solution and apply to pad just soaking it. let it sit for a few minutes. take the ink cartridge and wipe the bottom of the cartridge with a damp soapy cloth. also if you look at the cartridge there is a little breating hole you can hold a cloth on the bottom and gently blow in that hole it will purge ink through the bottom of the cartridge. install the cartridge in the machine close the front door and replug in the power cord. you might still have to run a few cleaning cycles. hope this helps.

SOURCE: Machine not feeding paper through

try cleaning the rubber rollers with a damp cloth and make sure there clean. also check to see if the paper is making contact with paper.
if that fails check the leading edge of the paper for damage incase something maybe blocking paper.

SOURCE: My Canon Laser Class 7000 has a problem on the

Easy one. This unit has several parts in the automatic document feeder (aka ADF) that simply wear out. As far as I know the parts are still availble from a reputable canon repair center. The lower feed assy is the most likely contributer to your issues. This is sold as an entire assy. Not exactly for the faint of screwdriver. Should be done by a skilled tech.
Good luck

Printing Issue, "Out Of Paper" message

Try to unplug the power of your printer for about 30 seconds then plug it back in.

Also, make sure that the firmware of your printer is up to date. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update.

I was copying a fairly large document and at some point the document continued to scan but stopped printing. The memory light is on and the LCD print out reads "printing" but it is not printing.

hello there, Sorry but the question is a bit confusing. Did the document finish copying or it copied half way and stopped? Or you were copying and printing it at the same time?
If you were copying and printing at the same time then the problem is expected as the procedure for printing is considerably faster than the copy process. Simply turn of the entire system either by proper shutdown or by just cutting the source of power to the unit. And this time copy the document completely first before you try printing. This should come up without any hassles.
Hope this support has been helpful?

I take a picture using a screen capture program/app then print the picture. It also make it possible to overlay things such as the (faded) word (COPY) on top or underneath it, if you want. When I use the COPY method, I print the faded word COPY first then re-run the paper through to print the rest

Hi,

most likly hood is your exit sensor is faulty. The printer work in this way. if it does not print out all the document. it will print again. that is why you kept getting this same issue after a jam open and close door it will print again.

replace the exit sensor it will help.

Print job stops halfway

I have the same problem - reading elsewhere - people talk of an exit sensor failing - that would figure - because one minute it was perfect the next it prints just half way and stops the print in the exit jaws - surely somebody knows the exact solution to this issue.

Any help with ideas about this problem ?

Check the FUSER, I think your exit sensor is bad.
If you open the rear door, look inside where the paper starts to come out of the printer, you should see a small lever that triggers the PAPER EXIT sensor. It might be hard to see. If it is not broken, you need a new FUSER.
