Hello,

Maybe it has not ink for the color you want to print or the printhead is clogged. In this last, you should change the printhead.

Thanks.

My ink cartridges are full however when I print something the paper comes out blank or with very, very faint lines. I have taken the ink cartridges out and shaken then but that didn't help. Not sure what...

Remove the cartridge and clean the electrical contacts with a q-tip and bottled or distilled water (do not use alcohol, this can cause problems). DO NOT CLEAN THE HEAD AREA.
Clean the contacts in the cartridge carriage as well.
Make sure you removed the protective tape from the ink cartridge. It may have ripped and still be covering the head area.
reinsert the cartridge.
Try printing about 5 pages.
If the 5th page is still blank, either the printer is defective, the cartridge is empty or not a genuine Dell cartridge, or the cartridge is defective (in this case, call 310-DELL and get it replaced).
if the printer is defective (IE - if you tried ANOTHER cartridge, and are getting the SAME results) then the printer needs to be serviced. If it's under warranty, call Dell - they will replace it.

My Dad bought new ink cartridges ( black and color) and installed them in the printer and it is not registering that they are installed. What are some things I should check for and how can I fix this????

After installing new ink cartridges in your Dell all-in-one 926 printer, you may receive an error message telling you the print does not recognize the new cartridges. Refilled or third-party cartridges, which Dell does not recommend using with the 926, often trigger the error message. You may also receive this error after you have been using the same ink cartridges for some time. Whether the cartridges are new or not, the error can be caused by a number of sources. Following the steps below should clear up print cartridge problem.

  • 1

Open the Dell 926's front cover with the power on and wait for the cartridge carriage to come to a stop. Remove the ink cartridges by pressing on the tabs at the top of each cartridge. Check the cartridges to make sure you have removed all of the blue protective plastic film. Look for the "Dell" logo stamped into the cartridges' lids to ensure they are genuine cartridges.

  • 2

Clean the shiny metal portions of the ink cartridges with a damp microfiber cloth. Allow each cartridge to dry completely.

  • 3

Clean out any paper, staples or other debris that you may be able to see, then reinsert the cartridges into their appropriate slots. Put the black ink cartridge into the left slot and the color cartridge into the right slot. Make sure both click back into place.

  • 4

Close the Dell 926's front cover and turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord and USB cable from the printer for five seconds, then reconnect them.

  • If your Dell 926 fails to recognize the print cartridges after following the above instructions,

take it to a repair shop for servicing.

I have a Dell 926 All-In-One InkJet Printer, I put a new black ink cartridge in the printer; still have plenty of color ink. When I have a document that I want to print from Word, it will sound like its...

Make sure you've removed the shipping tape from the cartridge's print head. More than likely the black cartridge is not disbursing ink - clean the print head carefully with "Q" tip and alcohol and see if black ink comes out slightly. Re-insert cartridge and try again. Perform "clean cartridge" in printer properties window.

Printer status window interface stopped working dell AIO 926

I know this sounds too simple, but get a new USB cord. I had the exact same problem and it was driving me crazy. I followed all the advice about uninstalling, reinstalling and updating multiple times and it never fixed the problem. Finally, my husband made the simple suggestion that maybe it was a problem with the connectivity of the USB cord. I didn't have much faith in it, but I bought a new USB cord and hooked it up - and I have never had a problem with the printer since then. My original USB cord (the one replaced) was the one that came with the Dell printer - perhaps there is a flaw in the cord somewhere. ?

Dell series 9 refill and low ink warnings

The series 9 cartridges can be refilled. As long as the electronics are still functioning on your cartridge you should be able to print no problem. There is no way to reset the ink levels on these cartridges so you will just need to ignore the ink level warnings. I would recommend Cartridge World for ink refills. Many other stores and on-line sellers don't do the cleaning, vacuum filling, electrical testing, and print testing that Cartridge World stores do to make sure your cartridge works.

    Printing alignment

Greetings my name is mark and I will be glad to assist you. HP printers like a lot of HP products are designed to be proprietary even right down to the ink they put in. Did you replace the cartridge with a factory cartridge if not that is your problem if so take a soft cloth with "denatured" alcohol and clean the points on the cartridge and in the printer. the reason for the denatured alcohol is regular rubbing alcohol contains 80% water and may damage the contacts. Let me know if this worked if not we will try another solution.
    Be mucho blessed,
    Mark
