WHEN I TURN IT ON, IT FLASHES THE MESSAGE "PROTECTOR"

The "PROTECT" and "PUSH POWER" messages will flash alternately when the protective device of the amplifier has been activated because a strong signal was input, or if there is a short-circuit detected. Press the POWER button on the unit to turn off the system, and check the following items after "STANDBY" disappears.

1) Are the + and - speaker cords short-circuited?
2) Are you using only the specified speakers?.
3) Is anything blocking the ventilation holes of the system?

You have a motor error. Remove any load from dryer and check if drum turns freely by hand. Check L1 power supply voltage, motorwindings, and motor thermal protector (if motor thermal protector has tripped,it may take up to 30 minutes to reset). If error persist, replace the motor with this new one.

Shahid, my Sony DAV-576WF is getting push power protector (SD detect), think it might be one channel blown, I do have the Schematic Diagram (service manu book) and ee knowledge with tool, could you give me a hand on fixing that when you got time?

It is no a fancy receiver but it does play SACD/DSD, that's the part I like

What kind of radio is it? Is it factory, or after market? If it's after market, what is the brand and model number? If it's the factory, what is the make and model is the car?

May not be your exact model but should be similar.

The Bissel vacuums include an internal thermal protector to protect it from overheating. When the thermal protector activates, the cleaner will stop running. Should this happen proceed as follows:

1. Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug from electrical outlet.

2. Check the Pre-Motor Filter and Post-Motor Filter for dirt accumulation.

3. Remove any clogs.

4. When the vacuum is unplugged and motor cools for approximately 30 minutes, the thermal protector should automatically resets and cleaning may continue.

5. If the thermal protector continues to activate after following the above steps, your cleaner may need servicing. Call Bissell Customer Service:

dude this mobile is just a scrap..
i am suffering from day 1 since i have bought this cell phone. There s no solution to this problems. i even installed new OS and S/W from Sony Ericcson service centre. It didn't serve the cause. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot if the word PROTECT or PROTECTOR is flashing on the A/V receivers display.
1. Check the speaker wires and speakers for proper connections.
2. Reduce the volume level. IMPORTANT: If the receiver is played back at maximum volume level it may enter the protect mode. Maximum volume listening will cause the receiver to run very hot and may drain the output capacitors.
3. Disable the surround sound option if both the A and B speakers are being used simultaneously.
4. Ensure the top of the receiver has proper ventilation to keep it from overheating.
5. If the message only occurs when using a DVD player, the sampling frequency may be set too high. IMPORTANT: Some receivers provide compatibility with the higher sampling frequencies through alternate connections. Consult the owners manual for specific information.
6. Unplug the AC power cord for about 1 to 2 hours to reset the output transformers.

The output circuit is detecting a short. In order to prevent a fire or prevent any further damage to the amplifier circuit (output) the Protector will prevent the receiver from functioning, thus you have the flashing light. These types of problems usually occur from a damaged output transistor. The only way to repair is to replace the transistor. You can also check the inside for any foreign matter like dirt inside the equipment.

Is it connected directly to the wall socket for the power supply or thrugh a surge protector.. if its through surge protector try connecting directly to the wall jack ..

Protet mode is a special diagnostic mode that starts when a fault is detected.

When in protection mode the unit is prevented from starting by protection circuit, so to prevent further damage.

Check the speakers and speakers wiring, a contact in speaker wires, or faulty speakers can send the unit in protection.

Try unplugging power cable for one hour or so. then connect cable back and see if you get rid of protect state. Sometimes accumulation of electrostatic charges inside circuit capacitors can kick in protect mode. In that case unplugging the unit from main for some times can get rid of electrostatic charges, and reset circuits by draining power completely.
If that was the problem, you will not get Protect when plugging back power cable.

If you do all the above and still get Protect, then there is a real fault.

In that case the unit may be disassembled and tested to find the fault.

If that is the case I suggest contacting the manufacturer at the number listed on the owners manual, or asking a quote on repair to a local technician.
