There are some video cam that are not compatible with the NEW operating system like for windows 7. But still try to install software driver for video cam express and maybe it works. Or if you can find driver for OS windows 7

I have installed window 7 and my web cam is not working
Your video camera needs a driver made specifically for Win 7. Go to the manufacturer's site and download it. If they don't have one for 7 try the one for Vista, it usually works.

Web cam does not work on my dv9000. also , it did not work on vista until I used third party driver installation. Now I am back to windows XP new driver etc. it still does not work.
if it is 64 bit u need to chk the driver for the cam for 64 bit or chk for the updated drivers for MFG website

Webcam says not connected
i had the same issue with my webcam from logitech if i remember correctly, you'd need to update the drivers first. i would also try uninstalling yahoo and reinstalling it. i know that worked for me
