Hello Your Samsung tV is LCD type. It has no bulb to replace as in DLP projection televisions. there is CCFL [Cold Cathode Flourocent Lamps] are the lighting devices, which are fitted just behind the LCD screen There will be more than 12 numbers of them, accroding to screen size. If these lamps do not light up; that is; if you do not get any backlight with your LCD TV, the backlight inverter board should be troubleshooted. This is the board that supplies high frequency high voltage to these lamps to light up. Check this inverter baord first. Repalcing backlight CCFL lamps is really a skilled work, as they are fitted inside the panel, and to replace them, you have to disassable the panel itself.
The
screen displays becomes dark/ dim if there is no backlight. There
are two parts responsible for lighting the display. First is the CCFL
(Cold Cathode Florecent Lamp), which is the back light and the second
is the Inverter board, which provides high voltage to the CCFL. These parts are inside the LCD screen. Either
of the parts may be faulty or in some rare cases both. So,
my advice is that you get it properly checked by any professional for
replacement of Inverter or CCFL.
the problem of your tv is the backlight...a backlight is a set of cold cathode bulb that is inplace at the top and bottom of your monitor..this light illuminate the screen once this light is busted your screen will go black.this lamp is replasable...you can replace them once they are busted...
