Samsung CXD2512 25 in. Combo Logo
Anonymous Posted on Dec 11, 2010

I no longer have the original remote for my Samsung TV/VCR combo and am using a universal remote. Yesterday I started having problems with the speed of the VCR playback. Mostly, it is too slow, distorting the sound, but on one occassion, when I was pushing buttons on the remote, the speed got fast, like a 78 record. I can find no way on the remote, or on the tv, to adjust the recording speed. My old vcr used to cycle through LP, SLP and STD, if I recall correctly. I hope you can help me, thank you.

Yes,the VCR play head drum is getting dirty, might have to require a head playing tape to play to clean the play head drum. These head cleaning tape was made by many copannies in the late 80 early 90,u still can buy it on websites like Amazon.com,Ebay.com to buy it.Think 3M is the only company still have these old products left around.

Describe your Panasonic PV-D4743 DVD Player / VCR Combo Problem I DO NOT HAVE REMOTE FOR THE DVD/VCR. WILL A UNIVERSAL REMOTE SOLVE THIS? I HAVE A SHARP TV WHICH ALSO LACKS A REMOTE.

Universal remote may give you few controls like power on-off, FF, REW etc but Menu may not open.
Substitute remote for this Combo is available in Remotes.com and original remote is available in Panasonic Parts under part number LSSQ0374
Same thing goes to your Sharp tv.
Thanks.

Need Toshiba remote access code for this product so I can use a universal remote to operate the VCR and DVD

remote codes are set by the manufacurer of the remote not the tv. if there are any others not listed in instructions for remote, the manufacturer of remote would have them. most combo unit are not able to be programmed into universal remotes due to the fact that there are alot of specialized function buttons on original remote. you can obtain a replacement remote thru toshiba

Changing the Recording speed from SP to EP on TV/VCR Combo using universal remote?

I am sorry to have to tell you this, but the only way to change the recording speed is with an original remote. If you look on the original replacement remote link I posted here you will see the SP/EP selector, this is to change the recording speed. Good Luck. http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&smodel=DS13TVR90&brand_pn=FISHER_DS13TVR90&mode=large&uid=11755283300930

How can I turn to AV without a remote control (Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo)

I had this problem with my TV/VCR combo unit (Samsung CXC1972) after losing the remote while in the dorms. I tried a few different universal remotes and dozens of codes before I tried the Philips 3 device universal remote as pictured below with code 037 programmed into the VCR/DVD button. I can't change the volume with this code but the input key switches between line in and tv. You can also change the channel, access the menu and operate the VCR functions with the code. I bought the remote for less than $10 at Walmart so it might be worth a try, and if it doesn't work you can always bring it back. Hope this helps.98fe8a9.jpg
