I hate to tell you, I just had this same problem on a brand new safe (x-mas present) and ended up having to crack it open. Unfortunately, from my extensive research on this problem on Sentry Safes it turns out that they use an encoded IC chip on the solenoid and if either a serial wire breaks going to the board or the IC chip fails, you get the 5 beep-of-death error. Needless to say, I'm thoroughly disappointed in Sentry and will discourage anyone from purchasing their products!
This are really pieces of ****! I have mine bolted to the floor and I can't open it. Nothing but the five beeps of death. If I can ever get it off its going back to where it came from.
I agree! Do not buy this product. After just one year I have the 5 beeps of death too. I have mine bolted to the concrete floor and its going to be hell to get it out to take back.

I have a sentry safe mod. # OA3810 and it will not open. I called Sentry and they said to put brand new batteries with 2019, 2018 or 2017 dates on them but that did not work. He also had me tap the outer edge of the door in various places with a book and a mallet. At first we tried a book and mallet on the door below the logo on upper right side. Nothing worked. His last words were to keep trying and if it still won't open to call a locksmith. Also, before hanging up the tech said not to close the safe should I get it open that they could probably fix with a new solenoid but the door must be open to repair this way. Hope this helps.
