Microsoft Works 8.0 Spreadsheet Problem (Vista)

Hi,
there is no such thing as "service pack 3 for Windows 7".

Windows Xp - sp1, sp2, sp3

Windows Vista - sp1, sp2

Windows 7 - sp1

Windows 8 - 8.1

Could you please tell me that you haven't installed the customization pack & that you have Windows 7?

What app were you trying to install?

Does it not install the Service pack and do you get some kind of a error message?

uninstall the game launcher ..then reinstall it again

Excel itself is a spreadsheet - You have to install Microsoft Office with Excel to read & edit the Excel files.

If you just want to view the excel you can download Free Excel Viewer & install on your System @ http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=1CD6ACF9-CE06-4E1C-8DCF-F33F669DBC3A&displaylang=en

You can download & install openoffice.org which is free @ http://download.openoffice.org/ to view & edit your Excel files.

Try using System File Checker to scan your OS for missing/corrupt files, complete these steps:
Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
In the results area, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You will be prompted to type the password for an administrator account. Click Continue if you are the administrator or type the administrator password. Then, click Continue.
At the command prompt, type Sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER.

The scan may take some time, so be patient. Windows will repair any corrupted or missing files that it finds. If information from the installation CD is needed to repair the problem, you may be prompted to insert your Windows Vista CD.

First question is do you have the vista disk ? If so , here are the steps to repair. Insert disk ....instead of selecting install vista , after the language selection box , select repair a menu will then be shown with the options you can choose from , choose start-up repair , this will repair missing files or disk errors. once selected no more input is needed from you. Hope this helps !

You should be able to click on the cell (or highlight the range), right click on the area and select Format Cells from the menu list that pops up. Does that work?
