Panasonic Microwave has stopped working and has got very hot

Past time to replace it

probably ur stirrer motor burn or temperature cut off tripping due to hi temp of ur cavity casuse by defective coling fan

ck the cooling fan .. but 7 sec is almost to soom to get mag hot / it may be the pc control board . if fan is not cooling mag then I would rep; board .. ****

If it stops after 7 seconds, it has a problem with the inverter.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter, controller, magnetron, or a bad connection from one or the other.

Make sure you hear the fan is still operating in your microwave. Next is to make sure the air intake grill on your microwave is not plugged up with air borne dust and dirt.

also.
for heating problem
Many thing can do this but, common things are....loose high voltage wire.....poor solder joint on board.....magnetron.....power relay

check mains fuse and check control circuit and magnetron. and diodes capacitor  high voltage related circuit. small part also gone microwaveoven doesnot works, first check oven and conform which part was spoiled, after that this is worth or not old ovens good compaare to new ones...

If you described this to Panasonic very carefully, and they said it's normal, then I would say keep using it until such time that you get other symptoms. The inverter has some parts mounted on a large chunk of aluminum called a heat sink. It draws the heat out of the parts and the heat radiates and/or convects away. This keeps the circuit parts from overheating. As long as you have good air flow through the vents, it sounds okay.
